🥀I’ll read anything if it has a bit of romance.
🏆 2026 READING GOAL 26/26 🤘
Kind of obsessed with my cats now…
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
We had our The Love Hypothesis book club meeting last night. It was so fun chatting with people who hadn’t read it before and getting their POV. I can’t wait for the movie to come out next week! We’re going to do a watch party over the weekend, but you can bet I’m watching it on Wednesday when it releases. 💕🩵🧬 by @fieldofproses

April & May Wrapped 🤎📖

I completely forgot to do my April wrapped last month, so I combined them!

I honestly have so much fun with these wrapped posts. Decorating them is so relaxing, and sometimes my daughter helps me pick out elements!

I had a terrible book slump in April & May, but it gave me a good reason to pick up the Lore Olympus series, which I had been wanting to read. I had read the first four on Webtoons but wanted a reread and to continue the series. I’ve already preorder the last two in the series and I can’t wait for them to get here.

But what truly pulled me out of the slump was Crave & (more specifically) Crush. I started buddy reading them with @the.bookish.mama.lion and I forgot just how much I adored Crush the first time I read it.

I also had a really fun personal life these last two months. Lots of celebrations (daughter turning 6, 10 years of marriage, Mother’s Day, 1 year of book club, and end of the school year) and just some really fun things: planting a flower garden, going to the water park, beach days, and just hanging out with family & friends!

I hope you guys had a great May (and April!).

These two books just yanked me right out of a book slump.

Say what you will about the writing… but they’re addicting, especially Crush. I’m buddy reading them with @the.bookish.mama.lion and she had an AMAZING comparison: they’re like a CW show in book format. 🤣

I’m on Covet now, and it’s a chunk. We’ll see how I enjoy where the story goes, but I can’t imagine any of them are going to top Crush for me.

Happy 10 year wedding anniversary, my love 💖

“You’re enough, you’re enough, you’re enough, you’re enough, you’re enough, you’re enough… so here’s my love.

All this and I’m still here. To the ends of the earth and the atmosphere, rest easy and know my love’s always near.” by @fieldofproses

My shelves overflowth… and so I got some more!

Introducing my stunning living room shelves, which double as our entertainment center and some *much needed* extra storage.

I am displaying all my favorite books on these beauties, and now have the space to turn out some of my prettier covers on my main shelves! As I add more books, I’ll just turn my books back in to display the spine, but hopefully I won’t be adding too many too soon 🙈 by @fieldofproses

🤎 MARCH WRAPPED 🤎

Doing this March wrap has been so good for my mental health/outlook.

When I looked back at March before this, I was seeing:
👎 didn’t finish my book club read
👎 got in a reading slump
👎 ND daughter had an epic meltdown on vacation
👎 i finally broke down and went back on anxiety meds

But… there was SO MUCH good in March.

🤎 I hit my four book reading goal, despite the slump! And every read was a BANGER
🤎 I didn’t rely on TV to get me through my anxiety, but did watch things that brought me absolute joy
🤎 I WENT BACK ON MEDS! (Which is a GOOD thing, even if it’s hard to say that I need them.)
🤎 I had actual fun on a work trip for the first time!!!
🤎 We had a staycation for Spring Break, which is exactly what my daughter needed, and we went home a day early because that’s also what she needed 💃
🤎 we had really fun moments on vacation and the beach every day was glorious
🤎 I had an AMAZING birthday for my 35th, and did exactly every single thing that I wanted to do—books, coffee, night at home with my husband and daughter
🤎 POKOPIA! Specifically pokopia with my daughter! It’s been beautiful
🤎 and book club remains to be the highlight of my month, even if I don’t finish the book (and it was very low regarded by the club, so it wasn’t worth the read anyway!)

It took me an entire week to post this wrap up, but it’s here, and honestly, it was a really good month. (when I say “and honestly” it feels like a GPT script now lol) by @fieldofproses

✨ blind date with a book ✨

My local bookstore had special blind dates for their one year anniversary today, and I ended up grabbing two. Suspense is really out of my comfort zone, but my daughter really liked the stickers and pen haha

The romantasy on the other hand 👀 that one looks realllllll good… and I’ve never heard of it! If you’ve read it, let me know how you liked it.

BUT MOST EXCITING OF ALL, I won one of the five golden tickets! I get to pick out a free tote bag… and I LOVE a good tote bag. 💃🎉

Hope you’re having a wonderful and magical weekend. by @fieldofproses

Help me pack for vacation! 🧳🌴🌊☀️⛱️

From my ~expansive~ TBR, I’ve narrowed down my options to… paperbacks. And haven’t gotten any further.

These are my options and I need to narrow it down to 2-3 books! HELP?

Do I bring the singular paperback standalone?
Do I bring the options that I know are also available on KU-though I’m hoping to avoid electronic books.
Do I bring the sea themed books for my beach/pool vacation?
OR Do I bring the popular ones that are almost guaranteed to be a good read? by @fieldofproses

🌙✨ CURRENTLY (RE)READING!

I’m about to come at you with some rapid fire thoughts.

1) I’m currently in Denver for a work trip so this is actually an old photo with my new filter
2) I had to go back to 2024 to find a TLC photo. I thought I talked about the series too much so tried to scale back and APPARENTLY I went too hard and it’s been two years since I raved about this series. It used to be what I was KNOWN for!
3) I am so glad I keep all my old photos in Lightroom. I knew it’d pay off one day…
4) I’m rereading TLC because I’ve been raving about it with some others at book club and now we are all reading it adhoc and going to meet up at a brewery to discuss it
5) I’m doing my reread via audiobook (Libby coming in clutch) and it’s really nice to be listening to a comfort read when I’m getting ready in the morning, doing chores, etc. highly recommend.

If you haven’t read The Lunar Chronicles, please note it’s my life mission to have everyone I know read this series.

It’s a YA sci-fi dystopian fairytale retelling where Cinderella is a cyborg, and each book in the series introduces a new fairytale character. It shouldn’t work, it’s an insane concept, and yet it is, quite literally, PERFECT. And I think if you give it a chance, you’ll be obsessed with it like I am.

💬 Have you read this series? Will you read this series? When will you read this series?

(If you get this reference, I love you. #wigs) by @fieldofproses

My February Wrapped 🤎📖

✨ STANDOUTS
My joys from last month have definitely carried into February, and I foresee them bringing me joy continuously this year—Pilates, journaling, The Rookie, and reading in general!

A standout for this month in particular was definitely Shaya Zamora’s amazing voice, as was rediscovering Whiney Brit on YouTube (if you like watching Sims content, I find her more entertaining than Lil Simsie.)

Reading wise, Warrior Princess Assassin was better than I expected, and I expected it to be good. It was definitely “romance in a fantasy setting”, so if you read it don’t expect it to be heavy fantasy plot. But Kemmerer built the three characters up so well and I absolutely enjoyed their dynamics. I cannot wait for the sequel and I will definitely be recommending this book to people who don’t mind a “why choose”.

♻️ NEW ROUTINE
As the weather is getting warmer, my daughter and I are absolutely loving our daily trips to the park by our house. We stop off on the way home, and while my husband cooks dinner, she plays on the playground and I get my steps in. It’s been amazing for all three of our mental healths.

☹️ DISAPPOINTING
I, Medusa (book club read) was a huge let down for not only me, but my book club in general. I ended up DNF’ing it, and based on the average score of 2.35 stars for the group, I’m glad I finally listened to my gut to set it down. I just wish I hadn’t spent so much time trying slugging through it.

💬 did you DNF any books this month?

Forever growing my Ali Hazelwood collection 🤎

I finally got to Problematic Summer Romance. I had been putting it off because I wanted to reread Not in Love, but I had loaned it to a friend. I decided to finally just read it without a refresher and… I was putting it off for no reason. The moment I remet Eli & Rue, I remembered everything!

The book was okay overall. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ but I’m still glad I read it. You can never truly regret reading a Hazelwood.

The only novel of hers I haven’t read has been Check & Mate. I have a few novellas to still get to, but I’m not a big novella girl anyway, and therefore I’d only be reading them because she wrote them. But I know I’ll pick them up eventually.

Now for the big question... which is your favorite Hazelwood book?

Mine will forever be The Love Hypothesis. by @fieldofproses
