WE RIDE IN UNITY - BEND, OREGON

We've shortened the route to 7.5 miles, with a few miles of gravel right in the middle. We're excited to ramble through the trees and rocks a bit, but hope this reroute makes the ride more approachable for everyone and better able to handle a large crowd.

DETAILS
- There is both some mud and dust on the route, so ride wide enough tires please. Road skinnies will make you slip and slide. And expect to get some mud on your bike and shoes.
- We have a few gates to skirt around. It’s fine on a bike, just go slow and single file. Trikes, quad bikes, and trailers will get pinched. You might be able to slip under the gate….
- If you drive to the event, please don’t park in the Thump parking area. Leave that for we bikers to gather. There is plenty of other parking on the street nearby.

There are also a few "feeder" rides being organized from other parts of town for folks to ride together to the 11am starting point. Keep an eye out for those.

This concludes our regularly scheduled programming of Friday morning gravel rides for the season. A huge thanks to this community that made it fun all summer, whether you were a regular or only made it out once. Honorable mention to those who hoped to make it out but never did — maybe next year?

A little more context on the name change from Moondust to Fieldwork. I also run a photo studio in Bend—@moondustlabs—and didn’t want to further confusion between the two when they’re actually unrelated. I hope giving the club its own distinct identity makes everything more clear, and I’m looking forward to riding with you all soon! taken in Bend, Oregon by @fieldwork.cc

Moondust CC is now Fieldwork CC! Same great gravel rides in Bend, with a new name.

“Fieldwork” is practical work conducted by a researcher in the natural environment, rather than in a laboratory or office. Getting outside and on bikes and exploring the world together.

The first ride of 2025 will be on Friday 4/18, a separate post will follow with ride info, but mark your calendars! taken in Bend, Oregon by @fieldwork.cc

And that wraps up Season 1 of the regular Friday morning Moondust CC rides. Rides will continue to be scheduled sporadically as time, light, and weather permits, probably Friday afternoons or weekends. Those rides will be shared via Strava events and shared here too.
