We've shortened the route to 7.5 miles, with a few miles of gravel right in the middle. We're excited to ramble through the trees and rocks a bit, but hope this reroute makes the ride more approachable for everyone and better able to handle a large crowd.

DETAILS
- There is both some mud and dust on the route, so ride wide enough tires please. Road skinnies will make you slip and slide. And expect to get some mud on your bike and shoes.
- We have a few gates to skirt around. It’s fine on a bike, just go slow and single file. Trikes, quad bikes, and trailers will get pinched. You might be able to slip under the gate….
- If you drive to the event, please don’t park in the Thump parking area. Leave that for we bikers to gather. There is plenty of other parking on the street nearby.

There are also a few "feeder" rides being organized from other parts of town for folks to ride together to the 11am starting point. Keep an eye out for those.

what a turnout!! first @moondust.cc x @thetrailkooks weekend gravel ride was even better than we imagined. 40+ riders came out to ride various lengths, brought friends, made friends, drank coffee and ate croissants (and some 🌚 dust). this community never disappoints 🤌

the event you’ve been waiting for is here — @moondust.cc and @thetrailkooks are teaming up for a WEEKEND GRAVEL RIDE.

WHEN: this sunday, august 18
WHERE: we will ride an out-and-back on sisemore road to @sisterscoffee in sisters for a mid-ride refuel and coffee before heading back
ROUTE: there are two route options—31 or 50 miles. the 50 mile route will start at 8am from @thumpcoffee on york and will meet up with the 31 mile riders along their way. the 31 mile route will start at 8:45am from Tumalo Reservoir (at intersection of Bull Flat Rd and Sisemore Rd), avoiding the 9.5 miles of pavement at the beginning before the gravel starts on Sisemore. The 50 mile ride will pause here to meet up with 31 mile riders, and we will all roll together at 8:45 heading to Sisters.

please be prepared to fix your own flats / bike. bring water and food, as the only refuel will be at sisters coffee!

this is a NO DROP ride.
