So grateful to be part of this beautifulll exhibit, Water Is A Currency, that’s up @annenbergcommunitybeachhouse until September 🌀 GO CHECK IT OUT OR ELSE😤

To be able to capture moments that allow us to reflect, wonder, evoke, and connect with others across our own personal experiences, familial histories, & memories is a dream — a reminder that we are all bound together, interconnected through the cosmics and natural elements… God placed me with this purpose for a reason. & i feel so honored I get to share this gift with the world!!!

Thank you to @coloringoutsidelines and @lucero_azul for the intention and care brought into curating this show, and all the other amazing artists i get to share space with.

& thank you to all my beautiful friends who stopped by, have continued to support me, & anyone who has shared kind words💗 and shoutout to our ancestorssss for stewarding the land. taken in Annenberg Community Beach House by @fierything

My pieces from the Birds Still Sing ✨

1. The Treasure Box

The treasure box carries the spirit of our Lola, who has passed down the unwavering sense of love, sacrifice, & liberation of our people.

2. Midnight Reflections

A reflection of the dreams and struggles our ancestors built into the tapestry of our present selves, as we become a mirror of all that they are.

slow movements that feel good in my body. ˙⋆✮⋆˚࿔

this stuff is so deep to me. on the surface it can look like a sexi graceful THAT GIRL soft womanly flow. and, while yes, its also very much spiritual awakenings & higher levels of consciousness. the more i heal, the better, softer, & controlled my flows become. all the woo woo shit is sooo real when you tap into your calling !!! its really levels to this shit !!!

what you see is the embodiment of the woman ive grown into over the past 3 years thanks to the endless shadow work dance has led me to.

grateful that dance has been a pathway to move through the shame, trauma, violence, pain, and heartbreak that’s been stored in my body. the harm caused from staying where im not fully loved or seen, mistaking being desired for being chosen, & internalizing the projections and unhealed traumas of others (still a wip). each flow is an opportunity to let go & move through all the feels. an opportunity to give myself all the things i was seeking from others. coming home to myself each time. by @fierything
