Last chance to see Water Is a Currency 🌊
On view through September 27 at the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica.

I’m honored to have two works from my Meditation (Water) series included - both created during my artist residency with the City of Santa Monica, just steps from the Pacific.

The timing of the exhibition’s closing feels particularly powerful as Los Angeles’s coast is once again witnessed the immense power of the Pacific - and the importance of listening to Indigenous knowledge about how we live with, care for, and protect our waters and coastlines.

Curated by Lauren Nieto and Natalie Marrero, Water Is a Currency brings together seven artists exploring our cultural, spiritual + historical relationships to water, movement and collective memory.

Thank you to all the friends who have gone to see the work all summer - I’ve loved receiving these little sightings from across the ocean. 💙

If you’re in LA, catch it before it closes September 27.

With Alexis Munoa Dyer, Candace Nina Reyes, Li Rothrock, Ricardo Rodriguez, Seda Baghdasarian Saar + Takako Yamaguchi.

Meditation (Water) II, 2026 🌊
Painted silk (habotai), pigment print on organza

Drawn to silk for its resemblance to water -
its fluidity, permeability, and its capacity to hold light.
This work unfolds as meditations.

On view at the Annenberg Community Beach House @annenbergcommunitybeachhouse - Water Is A Currency till Sept 27th
