The photo is exactly 1 year ago. 🔹Cara is now adopted to a great family! 🔹Moochie is adopted by Rachael in Pennsylvania, USA. 🔹Kaden's face healed and all his fur grew back. 🔹Toby and 🔹Rusty have both developed new confidence in meeting people! This is huge for them. We didn't know if they might ever become adoptable.
Visitors to our Doggie Ranch FDM and meeting our rescue kids is incredibly helpful for them. Toby and Rusty are proof of this.

Beautiful Cara loves her adoption family. Doggie siblings and lots of fully fenced grassy land to run and play every day. The first photos is Cara exactly a year ago. The rest of the video is Cara today. So thrilled to see Cara so happy and loved! ❤ 🐾 🐕
Cara's one of our machete survivors. Her previous owner hacked her face with his machete because she chased a chicken.

VIETNAM TO ENGLAND: OUR CODY & HIS PUG BROTHERS.
Cody runs like lightening. But who knew Pugs could run fast too? They're not as fast as Cody but they give it a good try. Cody LOVES his new life with his adopted family in England, with Alyson and Steve on their horse property. 🐕 🐾 🐴
He must think he's in heaven! ❤

Little Cody was one of our most injured mouth bound dog meat survivors. To look at him now you'd never know.
Seeing him like this is just magical.

Little Nova has beautiful smiley eyes! Plus her signature Vietnamese-dog black tongue. Even her eyebrows stand out more these days. She's transforming before our eyes.
Little Nova's one of our recent mouth bound rescue babies. Not long ago she was terrified of everything and everyone. Now she fits right in and plays and loves cuddles and affection.

VIETNAM: 12 CAT THIEVES ARRESTED AFTER 2,700 CATS.
[Not fundraising] "Thank you" Ho Chi Minh Police for busting a Saigon cat thief gang. They admitted to trapping over 2,700 CATS - slaughtered for cat meat.

Saigon Police studied the gang and gathered intel on their kingpins, operation and movements. According to Police reports live cats were stolen and stockpiled in appalling conditions. Then sold in numbers to cat butchers for cash.
The 12 person gang mainly operated from 11pm to 4am, hunting for cats in residential areas. The gang rode around on motorcycles, using homemade cat traps. Each group aimed for 10 cats a night.

Police investigations are still underway.
We do not have the figure for how many live cats were rescued by Police. However, cat owners are urged to contact Dong Thanh Commune Police. Cats are currently being reunited with their frantic owners! Cats not claimed will be looked after by local cat rescue groups.

VIETNAM: OUR 'LITTLE SAM POODLE' IS BACK HOME.
Little Sam is so confused. He's very happy to be home. But can't work out why he has to be by himself. Little Petey is very worried and lays by the divider so he can see him.
Little Sam has steel rods in his foot and a cast on his leg. And he has to wear a giant cone collar. He's being a very good patient.
Petey is being a good nurse (from a distance.)

AMERICA: VIETNAMESE WOMAN ARRESTED BY USA POLICE.
Volume needed to hear what the Officer is saying.
Location: Santa Ana, California. A Vietnamese woman arrested on Animal Cruelty charges. On a residential street in broad daylight. She put her 9 month old Pit Bull puppy under her car. She put food down under her driver's door.

Then DELIBERATELY ran over her own pup with the back wheels of her car. She stayed with the car on the pup for a while, then casually drove off, leaving the blood soaked puppy. Neighbors in the street witnessed it through their windows. Horrified calls came into Police!

Santa Ana Police worked hard to locate security camera footage of the brutal incident. And they found her. She is now arrested and faces multiple charges.

If she was in Vietnam nothing would be done. Authorities wouldn't care. There's no animal protection laws in Vietnam.
It shows how arrogant and brazen this woman was. Now she will pay the penalty under the law!

VIETNAM: R.I.P. CHARLIE - WE SO WANTED TO HELP YOU
🔸 "Thank you" to the rescuers in the video for searching and burying him.
🔸 The men in the video drove for hours to find the dog. They were different rescuers than the ones we spoke with. The important part was to help the dog. They located him! It was not the outcome anyone wanted. We were all deeply saddened and heartbroken.
🔸 If he had been able to come to us we would have named him Charlie.

One of the saddest cases of all. He couldn't retract his tongue. Days became weeks as his tongue rotted in his mouth. Local people had been trying to catch him but couldn't get near him.
He was located in a rural and
difficult geographical area. Miles from anything. Long grasses and jungle type shrubs meant no one could even see him! Unless he came out onto the dirt road you didn't even know where he was. Then when he'd be spotted - he was petrified! Out of his mind in terror and pain. To him every human was out to kill him.

Rural people don't have rescue nets and sedatives, etc. Its rural Vietnam; not America or UK or Europe. Abusing local animal lovers because they weren't able to walk up and pat him and put a leash on him is outrageous! Its mind boggling how much people around the world just want to throw insults. Vietnamese animal lovers have to live with this - day in and day out. Every day of the week. There's no animal protection laws. Saying 'call the police' is ridiculous.

After seeing his video for the first time we (FDM) offered to take him if he could be caught. We'd bring him to our Vet in Saigon.
Then a report said that his tongue had completely come off! Catastrophic. Dog thieves did this to him.

It was devastating to see him laying dead in the dirt. What an absolute shocking death this poor baby was forced to go through.
I can't even put it in words.

Charlie is now free.
I will remember Charlie for a very long time. So badly wanted to be able to help him.
Run free Charlie.
We didn't get to know you. But you will be with us in spirit.
So sorry humans did this to you.
Little Charlie, you are loved. ❤❤❤

VIETNAM: OUR 'LITTLE SAM' WITH HIS BROKEN FOOT.
PART 3. Little Sam is looking much brighter in himself. He's still in hospital for now. Soon he can transfer back to our Doggie Ranch. But he'll have to be kept separate from the other dogs. We'll take good care of him when that time comes.
Very happy to see the twinkle coming back into his eyes.
He's a sweet little boy. ❤ 🐾

VIETNAM: DOG THIEVES SEIZE OPPORTUNITIES
Dog thieves don't care about security cameras. Their only goal is to steal your dog. So why on earth do people still have their dogs sleeping on verandahs with no gates or fences? Cameras are useless if your can't be bothered being a responsible pet owner. Its too late to cry and beg. The poor dog paid the price for the owner's irresponsibility. If you cannot be bothered, then please do 'not' have a dog or cat.
