This is my version of “And Then You Pray for Me” by Westside Gunn (2023). The cover was designed by Virgil Abloh and is based on Caravaggio’s painting “The Entombment of Christ,” with oversized jewelry chains added.

The cat‘s out the bag: one of my all-time fave MC / DJ duos, Freddie Gibbs & Alchemist, are about to drop Alfredo 2 on July 25. Alfredo 1 was an undisputed classic, so you can imagine my excitement when they approached me to create some original cover art for the album. This time, they swap Italian pasta for some tasty Tokyo Ramen. Which is why I put a new spin on my beloved, bustling & colorful Tokyo corner paintings. Beyond honoured & can’t wait to hold the final product in my hands.

Check out my latest painting recreating Michael Jordan’s iconic shot against the Utah Jazz in the 1998s Playoff Finals securing their 6th NBA title. My goal was to make it feel a bit like Video Game kind of situation. I hope you like it and I will upload the print version to my online shop later today.
