Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist Alfredo 2 Main cover by @deadlymike Comic cover by @filipp_jenikae Following the highly successful, Grammy-nominated Alfredo, they’re back with twice the sauce. Sequels are always difficult to execute. Capturing that same feeling that made the first so special is even harder, but somehow, they’ve executed it to perfection. Taking on a Japanese theme this time around, the world-building is next level. Freddie described the first Alfredo as having an Italian-mafia feel, while for the sequel, they wanted to go “Yakuza.” From the short film directed by Nick Walker, to the way it’s incorporated into the intros and outros of the songs, it all comes together to make the entire listening experience feel incredibly cohesive. And they didn’t stop at the music. From the short film to a literal video game and comic book, think of a marketing move and they probably did it for Alfredo 2. With the help of Freddie’s right-hand man and creative, Lambo, they dug up references from Heat, Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai, Days of Heaven and The Fan, weaving them throughout the promotional material and merch. The attention to detail is next level and beautifully executed. Predominantly recorded at Rick Rubin’s compound, Freddie & Al don’t hold back for a second. The production is next level, and the bars and flows are downright disgusting. A year on, and this album has aged like the finest wine. (Yes, they also made an Alfredo 2 wine. I wish I was lying.) This album is dedicated to Spanto, best known as the designer and co-founder of LA brand Born x Raised. Favourite track - Lavish Habits

Luck sometimes happens by chance, but it often appears as an opportunity that serves as a turning point. The ability to recognize these opportunities can be a unique skill possessed by certain individuals and organizations. Moreover, since luck is heavily influenced by your daily habits and the natural flow of actions shaped by countless memories, you should never easily give up on life or abandon the consistent efforts you have made.

LUCKY, LUCKY? LUCKY!
