Rest In Peace, Nathan Hewitt

@filmretribution is a reflection of Nathan Hewitt's heart and vision. With incredible shock and sadness, we announce that Nathan has passed away, suddenly and unexpectedly. Without Nate this film would not exist, and the incredible friendships and good times many of us had working together with him would not have happened. For that we are very grateful. Nate was so proud of this film, and so very proud of everyone’s contribution to it. Your invaluable partnership made his dream a reality. He had tears in his eyes when he watched it on a sound stage during mixing. He was on Cloud 9 when we premiered at Omaha in front of a big audience, and won Best Nebraska Narrative Short Film. He was greatly looking forward to a time we could all gather and enjoy it together. reTribution will continue on for Nate, to honor and celebrate his vision and the message from his heart that we need to make good choices, resist the dark, and put others first, especially family. With love and light, R.I.P. Nathan Hewitt. Gone but certainly not forgotten. OTG.

*PS: If anyone has a picture with Nate feel free to tag us or send it to us and we’ll be sure to post so we can all remember the good times we shared with him. by @filmretribution

So many great memories from this awesome fest and celebrating the tons of hard work that went into this film. It was bittersweet as we sadly lost Nate soon after 🙏 Forever be grateful for those last memories together

If you’re in Omaha, this is such a great local fest to attend at @acxcinemas - supporting indie film is more and more crucial these days with the looming threat of AI. Check a film or two out if you can! 🙌🎬 taken in Omaha Film Festival by @filmretribution

WE PREMIERE TOMORROW SO FINALLY: I am so incredibly proud to have played BENJAMIN GRACE in @filmretribution alongside such an all-star team that really exceeded every expectation when it came time to put in the work! This film is special for me because I also co-Wrote & co-Produced, so to have come this far after countless hours of work, it’s been a great privilege 🎬 Ben has no idea what’s in store for him this evening and I can’t wait for everyone to eventually be able to see what we’ve been cooking up! 😵🍩🔪🪛🩸🔫 Let’s go! Less than a week out 🙌 Lets meet more of the team: Only Rudi Womack @womackfilmworks who served as Lead Editor for @filmretribution, could have molded it into the insane, high octane ride that it is 💪 He’s also an accomplished Director, Writer (also lent this talent to us as a co-writer), and Producer 🎬 His resume speaks for itself (He’s won @tellyawards @clioawards and more) and we’re so stoked we have him on team reTribution!! 🔥 #filmediting #filmeditor #editorlife #filmlife #indiefilm #editinglovers #goodwillhunting #infinitywar #ragnarok #filmmaker taken in Los Angeles, California by @filmretribution
