In a world where upbeat edits that immediately captivate you are very “in”, I wanted the intro of this film to feel slow and intentional. To create space for their words to breathe and let their story unfold as it did on the actual day.

Throughout the entire wedding, I was in awe of how naturally these two made candid shots so picture perfect. The perfect smiles at every moment, yet nothing ever felt forced. For me, the new year starts in April.
Everything begins growing again.
Baby Karryn was born this month.
We’ve decided which resolutions to keep (and throw)

Holy Week and Easter being the first days of April have merged my reflections on physical and spiritual renewal this year, pouring into this video. Death to new life is the greatest gift!! Just thankful, that’s all by @filmsbykarr

My goal in filming Cody and Haley’s wedding was to capture it as authentically as possible. Montana is already so beautiful, I knew the aesthetic part would be easy.

What I didn’t prepare for was to be brought in as if I was also a part of the wedding, just as much a friend as the next. So loved and cared for. After watching it a million times, I still caught myself dancing at the screen midway through. It felt like I was reliving my own special day, because they truly made me feel that way.

When I found myself enjoying the end of the film even more than the beginning, I knew this would be one of the favorite films I’ve made. Thank you Cody and Haley for allowing me to know the love you share 🤍 taken in 320 Guest Ranch by @filmsbykarr

The most magical day surrounded by love, laughter, and their dearest friends and family. The amount of people that traveled from the Midwest to Arizona to celebrate the wedding day of these two says it all.

There is such a privilege in capturing moments that you cannot only see, but feel all over again.
