As far as I'm concerned a bad bitch isn’t about being loud or “bossing it” 24/7.

It’s about being real. Raw. 100% yourself even if that means having a panic attack halfway through your own workshop (yeppp, that’s me).

The Bad Bitch Manifesto is a creative space to figure out who the fuck you are and how you want to show up in the world. A manifesto is basically your declaration, what you stand for, what you’re claiming. I believe that when you work out what you want and then own it, it becomes real. You’ve put it out there and the world starts moving to meet you.

I took BBM to @camp_vc this year for the second year running and had an epiphany… while everyone else was making their manifestos, I was making mine too.

What went down? People laughing. Crying. Properly looking at themselves in the mirror, maybe for the first time in years. Sticking parts of themselves on paper in ways they didn’t expect. Dropping the “shoulds” and finding the good stuff underneath.

I love creating spaces where people feel safe enough to be open, honest and a bit vulnerable because that’s when the magic really happens.

I want to take BBM everywhere. Festivals. Workplaces. Community spaces. Unis. Anywhere people want to get real, get creative and take a moment to work out who the fuck they are. The next chapter will be even more hands on, more playful, more tapping into your inner child while making something that’s completely yours and owning it.

5-0. Five fkn Zero. This o̶l̶d̶ bad bitch is still here, sometimes thriving sometimes JUST surviving.

She's been there, done that and lived mostly with zero fucks and zero regrets.

Life has not always been rosy but it sure has been an adventure. And as I enter my next half century I'm looking forward to getting more feral, taking life for ALL that it can offer.

To be honest, I found 40 hard! But 50, feels like a breath of fresh air of what is still yet to come, if you allow it.

I AM NEVER GETTING OVER TONIGHT 😭

@benillustrator surprised us with tickets to see @femiondrums and @joeajkeys from @ezracollective DJ at @roughtradebristol and it was completely, ridiculously incredible.

I met this beautiful human, who genuinely represents everything good in the world, and he gifted me a 50th birthday present that I will cherish forever. A reminder to keep dancing forever more ❤️

A day of house music in London followed by this in Bristol. Going into my next half century surrounded by music, dancing and lovely people.

Late to the party but it’s @bbc6music @bbcsounds Band T-Shirt Day, so here’s me and my @getdown_services tee ✌️👀

Band tees are obviously a massive part of music culture and merch is always a great way of supporting the bands you love, directly. But for me, they’re also about connection. I have so many conversations with complete strangers... convos about where they saw them, how much they love them, or how gutted they are that they’ve never managed to catch them live. Often with the most unsuspecting people too. Bloody love it 💛 and with music now being so much about digital formats these days merch/tees is one awesome way of finding your people and staying connected.

HEAR ME OUT.

Now, you might be SICK of the sight of my face. But I couldn’t not share these pics from @thegirlgeorgehair, and I’ll tell thee why!

Coming up to 50 has brought some big mental things with it. I’ve heard so many women in their 60s and beyond say they feel invisible. Like they no longer exist in this world.

And I ask myself these questions daily…

Am I good enough?
Have I achieved enough?
Am I where I’m supposed to be?
Am I worth anything to this world?

Wrinkles, laugh-fucking-lines and all, I’m trying to answer myself with a massive YES.

There is still so much more to give, do, explore and enjoy.

So you know what? FUCK IT. Here is my face. I won’t be invisible. I’ll go down fighting, laughing and having a bloody good time 💛

Plus this is my new favourite shirt from @loft.somerset that I picked up from my fave @luckydipmarket by @filobrien

Soz for the suspense, forgot to post an after because LIFE 😂 More copper, more blonde bit of pink. Keeping things slightly less dramatic with the big one approaching… although the septum piercing is making a comeback next week, because I plan on turning 50 as disgracefully as possible 😂🧡

Well the first @luckydipmarket at @rye_bakery Cafe was an absolute stonking success!

WHAT. A. DAY!! Was so ace to see the cafe buzzing with old and (MANY) new faces. Total dream.

Such a gorgeous collection of indie makers and designers, met so many ridiculously talented humans.

Loved seeing the space come alive. More of this.

I’ve been a masssssive fan of everything the @luckydipmarket / @shakebristol crew have been doing for ages, visted many of their events and knew I wanted to get a little slice of that energy into Frome and the café at @rye_bakery 💛

So I reached out and, VERY excitingly, they said yes. ❤️‍🔥

TOMORROW marks the first ever Lucky Dip outside of Bristol, right here at Rye Bakery Café on Whittox Lane.

They’re bringing around 20 brilliant indie makers, artists and curators from Bristol, Bath and Frome to fill our back room with weird, beautiful and very excellent things. We’ll also have live portraits and dog portraits happening inside the café.

The market starts at 12, just as the Frome Half Marathon finishes, so come and refuel afterwards. Or, if you prefer a bacon sandwich to a run 🙋🏼‍♀️, come for brunch and coffee beforehand and roll straight into the market. 🥐
