🚀 I coach women 40+ to get visible, fully booked and paid.
📸 Award Winning Personal Brand Photographer
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Why am I always harping on about visibility? 🤔

Because when it comes to business, visibility can be directly linked to success - particularly for personal brands 💁🏼‍♀️🎤

Showing up online is CRUCIAL for a whole host of reasons:

⭐️it builds brand memorability & trust amongst your audience
⭐️increases your authenticity
⭐️opens up more opportunities for connection
⭐️gets more potential clients in front of your business
⭐️and helps cement you as an expert in your field.

Showing up is HARD for most business owners, but when you gain clarity around what you offer, who you work with, and your core message, it’s so much easier.

And visibility is not just about sharing personal branding images (still an important part) it’s about finding a way to show up and be visible that feels authentic and aligned to you and your values.

I am SO passionate about helping women in business find their visibility sweet spot.

If this is something you need help with? You’re in the right place.

If you sit down every week wondering what on earth to post, this one’s for you.

You don’t need a new idea every week. Your clients’ problems haven’t changed since last Tuesday, and neither has what you want to be known for.

So say it again. Just say it differently.

Don’t reinvent. Reinforce.

What’s the one message you could talk about forever? by @fimims

Shout out to all the women back at their desks after dinner tonight.

I had big plans to be curled up with a book. Instead I’m here with a block of my favourite chocolate and about 20 things on my list.

Some weeks running your own business just looks like this. Not all … but some.

If this is you tonight too, you’re in good company. Don’t stay up too late… xx by @fimims

Everyone’s talking about finishing the year strong.

I’m doing my version of that too… a marketing push through Q4, leaning into more conversations, more visibility, and cooking up something new and exciting to wrap up the year.

But one of the things I’m most excited about this quarter isn’t on my marketing plan.

I’m recruiting for a full-time VA.

I’ve been sitting on this for a while, oscillating between feeling ready to go, and then hesitating until business lifts a little more. And then I reminded myself of what I’m constantly saying to other women - if you wait for the growth, you’ll be waiting a long time. Support is what allows for the growth.

Because if you’re already feeling overwhelmed, when is that honestly going to settle down? Realistically? And your business can only grow as far as your capacity lets it.

If you’re doing the bookings, the admin, the inbox, the invoicing, the socials, the marketing AND the client work… where exactly is the space for growth going to fit, let alone the time you need to plan, create, and make it happen?

Waiting doesn’t fix things. It just pushes the problem further down the road. Usually into next year. And then the year after that.

And support doesn’t have to start with a full-time VA. For me years ago - and for a lot of the women I work with - it starts with a few hours a week, or outsourcing just one thing. Taking one task off your plate. Then another.

At 53, I’ve spent most of my career doing late nights and weekend work. I’ve managed to slow that down but I know that if I want to get serious about working less, this is the leap I need to take. If I want to work less over the next few years, things need to change now.

Support isn’t the reward for growth. It’s what makes growth possible.

If you could outsource one thing between now and next year, what would it be? What capacity would it add to your already busy schedule? And have you thought about what you could do with that extra time? Improve your marketing? Be more consistent on socials? Have time to exercise at the end of the day?

Maybe it’s time to trust yourself, back your expertise, and take that next step… by @fimims

Most women come into Shine Bright wanting help with their marketing. More clients, more profit. Which is exactly what we help them with.

But for almost everyone, the first thing we do is go back a few steps.

We look at what’s working and what’s not. Whether their messaging is landing. Whether their offers make sense together. What someone sees when they find their website or socials. And then the less glamorous stuff… their capacity, their systems, how much they can realistically take on.

Because until we’re clear on all of that, any pathway we map out is a guess. Once we are, we can build one we know will get them to their goals.

Chicky (@thechefandnutritionist) has been working with me inside my mastermind for six months, through a big season of change. And it made me feel all the feels when I read her message. Because I’m so grateful for every amazing woman I have the opportunity to support, but mostly because of how much clearer she is now about her business set up, what she wants, and how she’s going to get there.

So if your main goal right now is more clients and more revenue, that’s completely fair and understandable. But do you have clarity on what’s working and what’s not? Because that’s what gives your marketing something to stand on.

If you’d love some support getting that clarity (and a clear pathway to your goals once you have it), this is the work we do in Shine Bright. Enrolment is always open, so there’s no waiting for the next intake. You can join whenever the timing’s right for you.

Where would you love your business to be six months from now? If you need support to get there, send me a message and let’s chat - Shine Bright could be the fit you’re looking for. by @fimims

She’s narrowed it down to you and one other nutritionist.

Same qualifications. Same price. You both clearly know your stuff.

What decides it isn’t your expertise.
It’s which one of you she feels more connected to.

Your skills get you onto the shortlist. You are what gets you chosen.

That feeling of knowing someone doesn’t come from a list of qualifications on your website. It comes from seeing you show up, again and again. It’s hearing you talk about the thing you care about, reading about the client who finally stopped reaching for chocolate at 3pm, and seeing your dog wander into the back of your video. All those little moments add up until she thinks, “I like her… and she gets me.”

People buy from people. They always have.

But it’s noisy out there now. You’re not just up against the other nutritionist down the road. You’re up against every post, reel, email and ad fighting for her attention.

So if all she’s got to go on is your skills, it’s a coin toss. And if you’re the one she’s barely seen, it’s probably not landing your way.

This is why visibility matters. It’s not about going viral or posting for the sake of it. It’s about making sure that when she’s ready to decide, you’re the one she already trusts.

Think about the last time you chose someone to work with. Was it just their credentials that got you over the line... or more? by @fimims

In 1987 I handed this Loco-Motion single over the counter at Myer and the guy behind the register chuckled.

The kind of chuckle that says oh, you’re one of those girls.

I went bright red. But still paid, took it home and played it until I knew every word.

On the weekend Kylie opened the Grand Final at the MCG, in her home town. The AFL had been trying to get her for years. She’s 58, it had been bucketing down all day, and she flew over 100,000 people like it was a Tuesday.

And I thought about that guy at Myer.

Kylie’s had people smirking at her for almost 40 years. The soapie girl. The singing budgie. Too pop. And every time, she kept going. She listened to the people in her corner, not the ones laughing from the sidelines.

I hear the flip side of this from women all the time.
What if I upset someone?
What if I look stupid?
What if I get ridiculed?

So they stay quiet. Skilled women with 20 or 30 years of expertise, hiding it because of a smirk that hasn’t even happened yet.

I get it. But that fear doesn’t shrink when you wait. It just gets heavier.

And “just show up” isn’t the answer either. It takes mindset, strategy and clear messaging. That’s the work we do inside my Shine Bright Mastermind. Once you start and see people respond, it gets lighter. Doable. Less scary.

So… what’s the “what if” that stops you showing up? Drop it below, or DM me if you’d rather not go public.

(And yes, I’m still a pop girl. Sorry, Myer guy.) by @fimims

23 years in business and if you’d told me at the start that the biggest lesson would have nothing to do with skill, I wouldn’t have believed you.

I didn’t feel ready when I first told someone I was a professional photographer.

I didn’t feel ready when I launched my membership

I didn’t feel ready when I hired my first VA

None of that readiness ever turned up. I just stopped waiting for it and trusted that I would make it work.

If you’re still in the weeds waiting to feel ready before you take your next big step... you might be waiting a long time.

What would it look like to back yourself instead? by @fimims
