Phantasia for me is a state of mind in which you face fears, set new boundaries and step out of your comfort zone. Ranging from Alice who chose to go down the rabbit hole to everyday life decisions and ways of living. You will only get to know new stuff if you dare to, and at the start of the mix I chose a poem that captures my understanding of Phantasia and the silly fears we sometimes carry that stop us from experiencing new realities.

So in order to get myself out of my comfort zone and explore new grounds, I confronted my house neighbor, who I only knew from his occasional bathrobe strolls around the staircase. Knowing only a little about him, I knew he had a decent synthesizer setup and was into electronic music.

But the rabbit hole I jumped into when I visited him in his apartment wasn’t something I foresaw. Not only was it super interesting and nice to get to know my everyday neighbor and not be total strangers anymore, but he also has a super unique vinyl collection which he hasn’t touched for years.

I was super honored to be allowed to go through all his records and curate this mix. For the Phantasia mix, I chose the weirder and trippier records, the ones with unexpected curveballs and unique sounds, but also some classics.

To challenge myself more, I tried to push my use of external FX and really get to know my delay box in a new way, trying to create long and flowing transitions, sometimes with abrupt changes. by @fin_egan

Back in October last year we had a small showcase @hoer.berlin.
We are happy to finally release the recordings on Soundcloud.
If you haven’t listened yet or feel like revisiting the session, it’s up there now.
First up is a vinyl mix by Alina & Noah, drifting through various shades of 90s–2000s electronic dance music.
Enjoy 💕🐣 link in bio
