After 6 years of dedication, I’ve joined one of the most exclusive clubs out there: the 7 continents Marathon Club 🌍

It’s a group reserved for runners who’ve completed a marathon on every continent: Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America.

From someone who once hated running to standing here now, I’m incredibly grateful for it all and there’s more to come!

Join Mike Wondu, a Seven Continents Marathon Club member who has completed a marathon on every continent, for a group run through the heart of DC.

First off, just a huge thank you 🙏🏾

When I set the goal of running in Antarctica after finishing three continents last year, I honestly had no idea how I’d fund it. Usually, I cover these races myself, and Antarctica was a huge expense. I didn’t want finances to stop me, so I decided to get creative and push the narrative forward with new ideas. Your support really helped lighten the load.

Michael Wondu crossed the finish line of the 2025 Antarctic Ice Ultra marathon in 5:26:14, completing his 7th continent and joining the exclusive 7 Marathons Club! 🌍🔥

Michael is the first Eritrean to complete a marathon in Antarctica. What an incredible accomplishment on the frozen continent!
