Today, I’m bowing in deep gratitude to three women who have helped me realize the dream of manifesting my oracle deck, Witch’s Window Oracle.

Holle Finch, @finchstazam, a close friend and a talented potter and painter, witnessed the early days of the project. She climbed inside the vision and lovingly illustrated the first half of the deck, bringing what had only lived inside my mind into the world. Her ability to translate an energetic feeling into an image confirmed that this deck was meant to be.

Chelsea Romaniello, @sea_romanie, an artist with a passion for whimsy and magic, was introduced to me by a friend. She joined the team and seamlessly illustrated the rest of the cards. Chelsea immediately connected with the tone and truth of the deck, and the collaboration between us was incredibly joyful. Her eye for detail and enthusiasm was invaluable.

In a world filled with AI, it is a true pleasure to be introducing a deck that offers hand-drawn images. Holle and Chelsea made that dream a reality.

Even with all the cards drawn it would be true to say that I had no idea how to self-publish an oracle deck. Enter Jennifer Steidley, @jennifercoopersteidley, a seasoned deck creator and graphic designer. Jennifer has been my mentor in all things deck-related, and she has spent countless hours answering questions and encouraging me. She has also worked tirelessly to help me design the cards and guidebook. Her expertise and generosity was the final piece needed.

Without these women, Witch’s Window Oracle would not exist. I am sending endless waves of gratitude to each of you!

My ride-or-die and I realized we are celebrating 15 years of marriage this year. He’s still into Porsche engines and I’m still getting into his pants. by @finchstazam

Failure is exhausting. I have nothing sage to say about failure other than my personal observations. To try and try but to still feel like you are paddling through crashing white water and are no where near the line up will make you wonder why you pissed your wetsuit for this. By purely subjective measures I have accomplished less this year than in 2019 and yet I feel better about it. Looking at these images I know I didn’t kook 2020 completely. So let's paddle strong in 2021 but not forget the beach where we got in...or something like that. 🤷‍♀️ #bestnine #happynewyear #hny #kook by @finchstazam

Fighting racism isn't about politics. It's about very basic Human Rights.
Today I read a post from another artist who said she didn't want to use her social media platform to express her opinion on "politics." This enraged me. I struggled with what to say here and none of it sounded very eloquent and made me feel very uncomfortable and just wrong and ignorant. But I know it is my comfort, my privilege that I hide behind and need to relinquish in order to effect change. In truth, the most thoughtful words have come from fellow citizens on social media not from the people in power. Keep speaking out.
