Dispatch from FINE. PRESS HQ:
We are beyond excited to announce the second of our Summer 2024 releases…

ACTING ON YOU
by Lee Suksi (@icekrispie)

‘Acting on You’ explores the narrowing and deepening of the relationships in artist and author Lee Suksi’s life. Whether siblings, lovers or friends, pairs of people push and pull their way across these pages. Guided by their desire to find new modes of understanding and representing those evolving intimacies and inspired by psychoanalysis, astrology, and observation, Suksi uses pen and ink to bring a fresh dimension to the ways in which we act on each other.

Dispatch from FINE. PRESS HQ:
We are beyond excited to announce the first of our Summer 2024 releases…

THE ENDLESS ANIMAL
by Nathan Mader (@dickinson_vs_rilke_vs )

The poems in ‘The Endless Animal’ dwell where the desire haunted, metaphysical habitat of a human consciousness meets an animal kingdom of actual and archetypal beasts. Alongside lyrically charged explorations of the self, you’ll find a Basho-inspired haibun that invokes both David Bowie and the ghosts of Kyoto, an 11th-century monk obsessed with fashioning wings, and the first NASA space monkey to survive returning to Earth from orbit. In his debut collection, Mader wrestles with spirituality, bisexual eroticism, art, various animal ecologies, and the culturally defined notions of masculinity he encountered growing up on the Canadian prairies while remaining open to the imaginative possibilities of poetry.

Here at fine. press LLC, our goal is to publish real nice books. Beautiful books, even. But we’re not ready to open for submissions just yet. We’re getting close, though, and we’ve assembled a supremely talented editorial board to help us once we do.

So we’d like to use this small piece of the internet to welcome Dina Del Bucchia, Ivanna Baranova, Hiller Goodspeed, Leanne Dunic, and Shazia Hafiz Ramji aboard.

Read all about these wonderful folks at fineperiodpress.com/submissions and, if you’d like, stay tuned for more info.

It's been a little over a week since "a fine. collection" was released, and I just wanted to give a big thanks to everyone who's bought, carried, and shared about the book so far. It's been a real pleasure to see folks enjoying the thing.

I also wanted to give a shout out to the other very real* titles we released but just haven't had the time to promote—there are only so many hours, you know? Read all about 'em at fineperiodpress.com (link in bio)

🚨High-score challenge alert🚨

Y'all play this game yet? Where the Scibbly Being runs towards an unknown destination, from some past that haunts it so? Cool. If not, you can find it at fineperiodpress.com

First person to DM a screenshot of them beating my (Cole's) high score or whoever gets closest to it by November 25, will win a copy of our first-ever release (more on that soon), a fine. t-shirt, tote, some buttons, and maybe an A&W coupon book if I can find it. It's somewhere around here. by @fineperiodpress
