THE SUN NEVER SETS - An experience I’ll hold onto for the rest of my days. This past year a once in a lifetime experience was shared with me. the opportunity to 2nd AC for the illustrious, crafty, and endlessly warm Eon Mora. Under their direction and tutelage, I was in for one of the most educational and invigorating adventures I’ve had. Filming and living in Anchorage, Alaska for a month. It’s no secret, I had a lot to learn. But the tenderness and grace of these people is one of a kind. Thrown in the deep end, but with a constant helping hand, I am forever grateful to Eon and the camera team, Gavin, Taylor, Peyton, Abbey, Chris, for allowing me to work alongside and study you all. Love you all to the moon and back, hope we get to do it again. Eternally grateful to have been part of this team and this sincere and vulnerable movie. I pinch myself everyday. Thank you all, always and forever ❤️ The Sun Never Sets releases in theaters September 4th. 90 DEGREES - A micro-short/ skate film, briefly exploring a day in Chicago’s skate and hardcore scene. A love letter to the youth in revolt. Both voyeuristic and participatory, it’s a ride. Directed, shot, edited: me Produced by: @lame__content @alsoknownastyler Starring: @dontaskrn @truthserumdefiant_ @lil____swerve @juhvauri @wewerentinvited Music by: @wewerentinvited @thechemicalbrothers Shot on: @kodak_shootfilm @kodak Scans and processing by: @preservefilm I’m so lucky to get to work with these wonderful people. I have created DVDs of the project. This film deserves to take up space. I’m tired of my work living and dying on the internet. Skateshops, reach out, I have a copy for you! If anyone wants one reach out! This short was a long time in the making. Both skate and hardcore culture, have always been two worlds that have nurtured and unapologetically loved me. Hardcore was the first creative movement that accepted me and my voice, and skateboarding was the language I learned to communicate with my siblings. I can only hope to give a fraction back what these communities have given me. I hope this video can stand as a testament to my love of these cultures. Keep an eye out for something larger in the future. Link in bio for YouTube release. Please lemme shoot film for you @thrashermag @atibaphoto @frogskateboards @sci.fi.fantasy @illegalciv @vice taken in Chicago, Illinois by @finnlander_
