upcoming(ish) books i cannot WAIT to read !!! 🥳

bound by the alien buckaroo by ursa dax 👽🤠

BLURB:
A black-listed bounty hunter in hiding, a bizarre alien buckaroo, and some rather frantic forced proximity...

I’ve spent the last eight years chasing scumbags to the ends of the universe in my job as a bounty hunter. Until the day there’s suddenly a new bounty on my head. But the bounty is fake. I’ve been framed. And now my entire life is falling apart.

I try to hide out on an isolated planet with a no-landing order, only to get tangled up with the strangest man I’ve ever met. His name is Xennet.

And if I want to survive on this planet, it looks like I’ll need to rely on him.

Except it turns out Xennet is precisely the same sort of person I’ve devoted my life to putting behind bars - a murderer.

And worse than that?

I’m developing feelings for this shuldu-riding, cowboy-hat-wearing, knife-obsessed convict.

I can’t stay with him. There’s only so long I can hide from this planet’s wardens and avoid capture.

And there’s only so long until Xennet marries someone else.

Because his promised human bride is coming.
And she’s coming soon.

shadow and son by gretchen powell fox 🖤🦋

BLURB:
The fragile peace forged in the wake of the Crucible is unraveling. With the rise of an old foe and ancient magic stirring, the scars dividing Arcanis have begun to bleed anew, and the future of the realm hangs by a thread. A Queen of Shadow Elyria Lightbreaker has paid a devastating price to save her loved ones. Now, she faces a whole new darkness-and must decide how much more of herself she is willing to give to save a world that has already taken so much. A Man on the Brink Rocked by the secrets of his past and the truth behind his power, Cedric Thorne scours the continent in search of the woman he loves. But as enemies emerge from hiding and Elyria is pulled ever farther from reach, he must face the terrifying possibility that saving her may mean becoming something unforgivable. And once his fire is unleashed, there may be no putting it out. A Final Reckoning Bound by love but burdened by prophecy, Elyria and Cedric stand at the crossroads of Arcanis’s future. some people call me… 😈

hellloooo darling angels i’ve seen this trend going around (mostly for authors) and wanted to hop on in herrr too. i’m using this as a lil hello get to know me a bit better bc what could be better than oversharing on the internet !!!

if you are even remotely interested in being friends, i would die happily. please. i’ll beg. i’m really cool my mom says so !

… natty !! my primary nickname at this point besides my family & long term (10+ years) friendships

fun fact: this nickname only started bc someone was trying to type naaaaatttttttt and accidentally added a ‘y’ to the end. and thus i became natty - i think it fits 🙂‍↕️

…natalie!

yuh yuh ok govt name. i used to lowkey not like my full name for a few different reasons, a lot of it having to do with my gender identity. not feeling feminine enough, not feeling like it fit me as a person, not feeling like a girl at all. but it’s grown on me as i’ve gotten older. <3

…kitten whiskers! yes really.

this is only for @authorjesslayne tho bc she’s my daddy 💞

…yeah you read that right. i ain’t typing all that out again.

my lovely boyfriend everyone <333

(we have this bit where we say good morning/night by calling the other the most outlandish random things we have/see/etc. yeah we’re cute)

…but YOU?? 🫵 you can call me for aallll your indie book recommendation needs !!

if ur new - hi i’m natty, a queer book lover & author pa of all genres (mainly fantasy). nearly everything i read and recommend is independently published. not that i won’t gobble down a trad book, but there’s just some kind of extra FLAVAH in indie books that i absolutely cannot stop lickin’ up.

i’ve also been know to give incredibly unhinged reviews, including, but not limited to, getting fictional men pregnant. <3

stick around for more !! by @firekeeperreads
