One of the most effective unilateral exercises for building lower-body strength, stability and control for runners 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃‍♂️

✅ Position: Elevate your rear foot and keep your front foot firmly planted

✅ Descent: Flex your front hip and knee in a controlled manner, lowering your rear knee towards the floor

✅ Alignment: Keep your front knee tracking in line with your toes and maintain a stable pelvis

✅ Drive: Push through your front foot to extend your hip and knee, returning to the starting position

🎯 Primary muscles: Quadriceps, gluteus maximus and adductors, with the hamstrings and core contributing to stability

💡 Remember: Prioritise control, balance and range of motion over added weight
