Watching Destiny, overcome her fears today and pushing through this workout is the whole reason why I do this job. I love this stuff.

After the workout I had a chance to speak with Destiny and Chris in length about their experience from the workout. They shared with me how much they enjoyed the workout, respected what I was trying to do there, and understood my vision for the space.

Today had a lot of great takeaways. I learned a couple of new ways I could offer the class, and I'm excited for that. All good things. Lots of work to do ahead. Let's go!

I’ve been talking about launching this outdoor Saturday class forever—and my guy Dez didn’t just listen, he's betting on me. He surprised me with gear—wristbands, gloves, and more—so I can finally bring this to life. Starting next Saturday, June 13th, and every other Saturday at 8:30 AM, we hit the park. I’m gonna take a moment to be proud of myself and hope that inspires you to be proud of yourself too.

I have a lot of injuries. A lot of physical, mental, and emotional challenges from previous injuries in my life… just like many of the people reading this.

But today, at 43 years old, after years of not lifting anywhere near this weight, I lifted 315 pounds again.

And honestly? I’m proud of that.

Not because the number makes me better than anyone else — but because I know what it took to get back here. The setbacks. The pain. The doubt. The rebuilding.

Sometimes progress doesn’t look flashy. Sometimes it looks like showing up injured, tired, healing, and still refusing to quit.

Be proud of your progress too. Even if nobody else sees the weight you’ve been carrying.

Of course I stopped off @the.doza.shop afterwards for my afternoon caffeine fix.
I'll be ordering a cinnamon roll the day after the @the_farm_games
