Whether you’re an actor, singer, teacher, speaker, or simply curious about deepening your connection to your voice, this immersive experience offers a powerful introduction to Fitzmaurice Voicework® and an opportunity to expand your existing practice.

Over five days, you’ll explore:

🌿 Breath management and focused intention through Restructuring

when doing Fitzmaurice Voicework, why is it that some people start laughing, some cry, while some lie on their yoga mats wondering if they’re broken because they’re not feeling any kind of emotional outburst? (me)

in this clip, @petrinakow reflects on the emotions that can arise during voicework. the aim isn’t to force a release; as she puts it, the practice can be therapeutic, but it isn’t therapy. it’s an invitation to notice what’s happening and make room for change.

the first time I did Fitzmaurice Voicework I was struck by how free my voice sounded within a short one-hour session, but it didn’t surprise me at all — we carry so much tension from the bad habits we’ve formed over the course of life, trying to manipulate our voices to fit what we’ve been told it should sound like.

returning to @grandhyattsing for a second year after its inaugural run last year as the first time a hotel wellness facility was introducing Fitzmaurice Voicework classes as part of its holistic wellness offerings, Vocal Breathwork with Petrina Kow invites actors and professionals alike to explore greater freedom in their voices. The weekly series runs this October at Damai House, on 4, 11, 25 October, and 1 November.
