I 'see' a surveillance culture where base greed—piggishness—has become the primary political and cultural metric.

In this piece:
The multi-eyed head means 'they'are always watching, but the messy, drooling mouth shows they are only consuming. Over-consumption of the culture itself.

Words, words and more word puzzles keep us confused and nothing that is said or written is strictly true. It adds to the anxiety and stress that comes with modern day life.

Gold underpins corruption, not just as currency, but as the sanctification of greed. It is rich and beautiful, but stamped with Fear. A society that only values being rich is a society fueled by insecurity and decay (hence the burned matches and the skull below). This is the currency of an anxious culture.

The piece is meant to be a bit of a pièce provocatrice ~ if you enjoy, this is an original, and is part of
Viscerglyph collection 2026.

👁️ più grossi della pancia.
🇨🇦🍁✔️ It's Thanksgiving.
Act of kindness are not so obvious to the eye, but your gut and your stomach can feel it before your head. So, on this day enjoy this off the wall piece.

It came to be over a 🍽️ of 🍝 of who roll on a 🍴 or a 🥄? The 🇮🇹 idiom: Your eyes are bigger than your stomach. And this idea that what you see isn't always reliable. Black and gold is really an experiment of fun, some will like it, some won't. Enjoy art! 🍁Flavia

@david_sandum I have had the privilege of working with David for many years in #artphilanthropy, one theme he often broaches with courage and passion is #mentalhealth. Often doctors and specialists are needed for care, thankfully they exist. I'd also like for you to use artists (be it music, theatre, art shows, poetry) as a means to a better experience of life. May you be well. Flavia by @flavianasrintesta

In the art world GOLD is a big NO NO, frowned upon and poo pooed. So, Flavia tries her hand at the tacky forbidden.

Black, gold and ink in studio, and Voilà a new work!

At first passage this piece was made with a lot of movement and spontaneity, as it came along, dried and I kept looking at it, details immerge as often happens in my works on paper. The female figure and her oversized hand reach out to the viewer, beckoning, or maybe grabbing a hold of slipping pieces of her. Framed and in another world, another figure, perhaps from a distant past is suspended mid-air, but static as if frozen in time. This can be interpreted in many ways. In the bottom corner a building on a baroque shelf sits, it is perhaps a prison, smaller, more distant...and shelved. I like to leave YOUR imagination to wonder rather than possibly explain exactly what I was thinking while this piece came to life, art needs to be felt, not necessarily explained.
This piece is part of a new body of work, Viscerglyphs (from the BOD collection).
Bringing these 12 interconnected works together...Stay connected, be light and enjoy your own prosperity. More coming soon.

Truth Charity Hope Kindness 1/12 pieces of the New Body Of Work: Viscerglyphs

In this piece for Viscerglyph BOD, Truth Hope Charity Kindness hangs upside down—suspended in tension, almost suspicious, like ideals that vanished out the window when we needed them most.
I picked gold for the Viscerglyph BOD lettering to create a sharp line between what remains precious and what feels inverted. It’s a piece of 12, and easily one of the most raw works in the entire collection.

Do you also see the homogeneity of culture happening? Same visions, same questions, same answers, sameness all around? We need the creatives out now, those who can imagine wildly!

VISCEROGLYPHS IN GOLD
12 new works on paper by Flavia Testa
Bringing this series together felt less like organising art and more like unearthing an ancient, complex text.
It’s a personal codex written in raw ink and "sacred"gold. Fractured words (JUSTICE, HOPE), watchful eyes, and primal figures carve out the visual language I’ve spent my life translating.
This work asks for your time. It requires a second, a third, deeper look.
Over the next few days, I’ll be revealing individual leaves from this collection. Lean in, read between the ink, and trace the gold with me. Being thankful for this Art|Life 🔑💛🌟
