This time last year, 14/07/25, I was scrambling home to get everything ready to launch HERA at 6pm. Nauseous, excited, vulnerable, unsure how the public was going to react to something that had been in the works for four years.

Fast forward: it’s been one year since HERA was birthed, and I’m sitting in Saigon writing this caption, looking back on this last year’s journey.

There’s this mixture of emotions between overwhelmed, vulnerability, pride, gratitude, vision, proud. When you’re in the thick of it, you don’t really stop to see how far you’ve progressed — one week, one month, let alone one year. I honestly can’t believe how fast it’s gone. All the hurdles I’ve gone through to make what was once just ideas come to life… At times I didn’t even know how I’d achieve my “delulu” goals, but I just knew it’d happen — I’ll make it happen.

Along the way, the most beautiful thing about this journey that I’ve learned is: just start. Drafted, 70% there, not there. Do it and then go back and refine it. If you want it bad enough, it’ll happen. You’ll make it work.
Before HERA I felt quite lost, not sure what my purpose was, nor what I could bring to the table. That’s not to say I don’t have talent or experience, but I didn’t know what I could pour all my knowledge and experience into. I truly believe in divine timing, and everything up to this point has fallen into place, shed, or come back around when the time was right. HPB EP02 isssaaa WRAPPP 🍳🕺🏻

We actually have no words to describe whatever the f*k that weekend was, here’s part 1/?? of our film dump.

To Martin, friends and family, our chefs, FOH baddies, media team, DJs, party people, and big backs — EP02 only happened because of every single one of you who carved time out of their weekend for us 🥹
Some of you trekked it all the way from the south-east, some of you apparently PT’d over an hour for us?!!! Hot Plate Behaviour is a labour of love, whole time we’re sidequestmaxxing and boom, now we got the whole of Brunswick to feed 🫪

From the whole team at HPB, thank you so… so so much for giving Vietnamese food the love and recognition it deserves, coming curious, and (hopefully) leaving full and a little more encouraged to take bolder risks with your life ⭐️💕

It’s been a minute. Finally had the time to sit down and chat with you all on everything since Capsule02 Drive + Desire dropped in February, custom plush bags, Capsule03 in the works, the birth of Hot Plate Behaviour, and the feeling of everything happening all at once whilst building it all at the same time.

If you don’t have time to watch, here’s the recap:

→ Capsule 01 plush bags are still going strong with custom one of ones
→ Drive + Desire calendar taught me adaptability is everything and plans help, but you still have to be able to pivot in real time
→ BTS: better systems, upskilling, a full rebrand
→ Capsule03 is in the works (you’ve probably already spotted a piece or two 👀)
→ HPB @hotplatebehaviour was born, our food pop up showcasing culture, art and food. EP02 is next Friday, come through xx
→ There’s alot on my plate, exciting, overwhelming, all at once and I think a lot of founders/creatives feel this too.
