Gardenia 269 years ago, gardenias entered the botanical lexicon. Honouring not a garden but a botanist, Alexander Garden, who actually never worked with them. Soon after, gardenias also blossomed into pages of fiction, though notably absent from the most famous Secret Garden. Secret Gardenia @millerharris is nevertheless named after that novel, entangling the elegance of the flower to the garden archetype.
