🍫 I went into Cologne’s @schokoladenmuseum.koeln 🇩🇪 with some skepticism. Cacao has South American roots, much of it is grown in Africa, and Europe became enormously wealthy from the systems that moved, processed, and profited from it. 🍫 So I was genuinely pleased to see the museum confront that history rather than curate chocolate as a harmless European pleasure. 🌑 12 August 2026. Totality over Santa Ponsa, Mallorca. ☀️

Watched with family as the Moon passed between the Earth and the Sun, placing this small part of Mallorca briefly within its shadow. The light fell, the temperature shifted and, for a little over a minute, the Sun was reduced to its corona around the black disc of the Moon. 🌒

The mechanics are simple; the circumstances are not. The apparent sizes of the Sun and Moon align almost perfectly from our position on Earth, allowing the Moon to obscure a star some 150 million kilometers away. 🌍

An extraordinary piece of celestial geometry, experienced from an ordinary corner of Mallorca with the people closest to me.

Some things are better seen than photographed. 🌑✨

We went to @fragonardparfumeurofficiel in Èze to create our own perfumes, and it ended up being one of the most fun experiences on the French Riviera. 🌸🇫🇷

While the workshop is in Èze, it’s part of a perfume tradition that began nearby in Grasse, which became the a fragrance capital centuries ago thanks to its ideal climate and flower fields.
