Ahead of Saturday's Floor Is Yours @margateartsclub, we asked @wrekinhavoc's Rich Hall to pick three of his current dancefloor favourites we might hear this weekend. Loving these!

Look out for Stu's picks later in the week... and see you on the floor this Saturday 💚 taken in Margate Arts Club by @floorisyoursmargate

Following on the heels of incredible parties with Conrad Idjut and Red Rack’em earlier this year, Floor Is Yours have now tempted legendary diggers Wrekin Havoc down to the Thanet coast for an autumn extravaganza on Sat 17 Oct.

Creating some of the best Balearic-disco productions and edits out there, the Havocs have also been barnstorming the UK’s most discerning festivals such as their residency at Rotation Garden Party and Wildwood, with their sets routinely described by dancers as the best of the weekend.

Over the years they’ve shared the billing with the likes of Idjut Boys, Mark Seven, Make A Dance, Nancy Noise, Luke Una, Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy, Bill Brewster, Richard Sen and Piers Harrison. These days they favour a handful of carefully chosen appearances each year - and Floor Is Yours at MAC is one of these.

Crate diggers extraordinaire, Stu and Rich will be reaching deep into their vaults for this one, with a four-hour set that digs deep into their collections - expect the chugged-out, the bugged-out, the weird, the wild, the warm and the wonky… Unshazamable? Probably. Dancefloor havoc? Guaranteed. This is one you really won’t want to miss.

The great Dolly Parton passed one month ago today, which seems like a good time to post the tribute set I did @margateartsclub back on 29 August*. It was wonderful to play a two-hour selection of classics, covers, curveballs and deep cuts to a full house of Dolly lovers and celebrate her life and her music.

It was a true joy doing a deep dive into Dolly's back catalogue for this (although if you can get through the first 20 minutes without shedding a tear, you are stronger than me - girl wrote some of the most heartbreaking songs ever recorded). Dolly's enormous love and humanity comes through in everything she performed and I genuinely feel I'm a better person for having immersed myself in all things Dolly, her goodness is contagious - hopefully a little of it rubbed off. And of course her ferocious talent and famous attention to detail means the production on all of these songs is just so, so good.

Parton-Philistines, if you think you can't handle two hours of Dolly - just listen to this! You absolutely can... She goes all over the show! It's incredible. Go on, surprise yourself.

Link is over on my Soundcloud (Mixcloud won't let you upload more than three songs by the same artist, go figure) - hit up the bio or head here: bit.ly/FIYDolly

We love you Dolly, you wonderful woman. Thanks for having us, MAC, and thanks to @artsclubradio_margate for the livestreaming xx

* re-recorded last night because we forgot to press record on the evening, whoops :( by @floorisyoursmargate

Yesterday's @1btnradio show is now up on Mixcloud and features a fantastic interview with our next Floor is Yours guests @wrekinhavoc. Such a pleasure to chat with Stu & Rich about the new @rotationsoundsystem compilation, the joys of Rotation Garden Party, the origin story of their monster tune Shine A Light and what we can expect when they hit @margateartsclub next month. (Also a couple of forthcoming releases 🧐)

We also go a bit coconuts for the new @skyrager compilation, reveal Jen's 70s heavyweight boxing obsession, send belated heavenly birthday wishes to Freddie Mercury and play a bunch of incredible tunes we've been dying to share with you.

Have a listen, then jump straight on @outsavvy and buy a ticket to the gig on 17 October ♥️ taken in Margate, Kent by @floorisyoursmargate

The mighty @wrekinhavoc re-introduced us to this epic Pointer Sisters classic and ever since there's not been a single party or afters where this doesn't get at least one spin & a singalong - a bona fide Floor Is Yours anthem ♥️

See you on the 17th... by @floorisyoursmargate

One for the diary!

Following on the heels of incredible parties with Conrad Idjut and Red Rack'em earlier this year, Floor Is Yours have now tempted legendary diggers Wrekin Havoc down to the Thanet coast for an autumn extravaganza on Sat 17 Oct.

Creating some of the best Balearic-disco productions and edits out there (in 2025, their EP for Talking Drums, featuring the magnificent Shine A Light, went stratospheric after receiving heavy support from DJ Harvey in the greatest clubs across the globe), the Havocs have also been barnstorming the UK's most discerning festivals such as their residency at Rotation Garden Party and Wildwood, with their sets routinely described by dancers as the best of the weekend.

Over the years they've shared the billing with the likes of Idjut Boys, Mark Seven, Make A Dance, Nancy Noise, Luke Una, Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy, Bill Brewster, Richard Sen and Piers Harrison. If one exceptional DJ/producer act at FIY this autumn wasn't enough (in the form of the phenomenal @wrekinhavoc on 17 Oct), we've only gone and added another one... Live and direct from the Netherlands, one of our favourite producers of all time, @pete_blaker - legendary edit king, supreme Prince fan and iconic sonic architect - making his UK debut right here in sunny Margate 💜💜💜

We dare you to find a DJ Harvey set that doesn't feature at least one bespoke edit from Pete and you can bet all your favourite DJs have followed suit with one of Pete's many releases for the likes of Hot Biscuit Recordings, Razor'N'Tape, Musica de Baleares, Magic Wand and more.

Pete's work has soundtracked so many moments in our lives too - I mean, we love this guy's work so much we named both this night and our 1BTN radio show after his iconic Arthur Adams edit... Pete has a way of reaching into your soul and grabbing on to your heart. It's a true honour to host his first ever UK date.

We hope you'll join us at both of our amazing autumn parties at the glorious @margateartsclub:

🎉 Wrekin Havoc - Sat 17 Oct
🪩 Pete Blaker - Sat 14 Nov

Early birds for both events available now. See you on the floor (twice) ♥️ by @floorisyoursmargate

Bloody lousy weather here in Margate today - only thing to do is brighten it up with the thought of our next party. Here's Stu @wrekinhavoc bringing the sunshine, smashing it @rotationsoundsystem back in July 😎

The Havocs join us @margateartsclub on Sat 17 October and you definitely, definitely will want to be there... Tix on sale now ♥️ taken in Margate Arts Club by @floorisyoursmargate
