Brain is fried, up to my eyeballs in things that need to be done and my ADHD brain thinks let's go have bash on the keyboard 🤣🤣

Bit of an oldie and im sure the technique is well off but it kept me out of trouble for an hour.

Also if anyone knows what a ketboard is? Thanks autocorrect for not picking that up and making me an illiterate monkey!

After an utterly appalling day yesterday, finding my boy in the craft room getting the stud wall started was the pick me up I needed 🥰

I think we've got the wood covered now but anyone with insulation hiding in the garage can be met with a cuppa and a smile xx

Its time to tackle the back room and make it a functional space again.

This will be my craft room and base for Flower Patch... Hopefully giving me the space I need for everything I have in mind for the future Flower Patch 🌻

August is the month to harvest lavender.

Im very lucky that my neighbour has the most perfect lavender frontage to her house, watching the bees swarm round in summer is so beautiful 😍

Then... with the flowers spent, I cut it all back, dry it and process it for making lavender wreaths and scent bags

The long stems can be used to thicken out the wreath base, and still smell amazing without the flower heads.
The flower heads are cut to about hand length and bundled into groups of approx 15, or until they look nice and full. Any loose buds are then collected up in a jar for later.

drying and processing the lavender is a time consuming process, but I love having the little bundles ready to attach to the wreath, they give a really full looking wreath.

In July I finally got to take the wedding flowers I had been working on to my cousins special day 🥰

I got great feedback from the venue and of course from the bride and groom.

The table flowers are still constructed and available for hire, for events in the Banbury Area. The Brides bouquet is not available but one could be made to match or to the brides taste.
Items available =
4 x tall flowers stands
4 x flower arrangements for pots/basket/low vase
1 x Horizontal Top table or present table arrangement.

The cut flower garden is getting some legs...

I still have a fair few pots about that could do with being in the ground but this heatwave is just not the time for it.

Never mind what the flowers think... the heat zaps the life out of me with all my ailments.

Growing my own cut flower garden is not easy when you have a complete inability to be consistent.

Despite killing goodness knows how many seedlings, I do have some beautiful flowers on the go and the garden smells amazing. The jasmine, honeysuckle, lavender and sweet peas are just awesome!!

Working my way through the centre pieces for an upcoming wedding 🥰

Slow progress this week, with all the credit going to an M.E flare.

Stands 3 & 4 need to be finished next week, so I have plenty of time for the last two and lots of faffing. (The Bridal Bouquet is first on the faff list!)

After the heatwave my seedlings were staring to look Hella Crispy!!
If I'm going to stand any chance of flowers this year I had to bite the bullet and get some in the ground!

So the cutting garden has received cornflowers, sunflowers, cosmos, nigella, rudbeckia and an unknown/unlabelled plant that will no doubt grow massive and block the light of everything else!

The patch needed some serious cutting back and weed pulling but now has plenty of room for flower growth so bring on the blooms 🥰
