I’m Florence Penny, Consultant Physiotherapist and founder of Flow Physio London. I created Flow to bring physiotherapy into discreet, refined, high end settings where clinical expertise is delivered with seamless and considered care.

With over thirteen years of experience, my career began in leading NHS hospitals before taking me to Verbier in Switzerland and then back to Harley Street, where I led physiotherapy services for high profile clients. Today, Flow Physio London has evolved into a carefully curated practice based in Knightsbridge, Marylebone, Hotel Café Royal and private residences across West London. Together with my team, I support an international community of entrepreneurs, business leaders, artists and athletes, helping them recover, build strength and sustain long term performance.

Alongside my clinical work, I consult on luxury wellness projects, advising hotels, members’ clubs and emerging brands on how to integrate evidence based health into environments designed for privacy and excellence. I also speak publicly on physiotherapy, recovery and longevity, most recently joining a Tatler Editor founded Beauty Triangle panel exploring the intersections of body, skin and nervous system health.

Flow Physio London has been recognised by publications including Tatler, Vogue, The Times and The Guardian, highlighting how physiotherapy is becoming an essential part of the modern luxury wellness landscape.

As we look ahead, my vision is to redefine the role of physiotherapy within health and longevity, positioning movement, recovery and strength not simply as tools for rehabilitation but as the cornerstones of sustained performance and a life lived at its highest quality.

The team behind Flow.

Four physiotherapists, with different clinical backgrounds, areas of expertise and ways of thinking.

What we share is an approach: taking the time to understand the whole picture, being precise about what matters, and making treatment genuinely individual.

Very proud of the team we’re building.

A little bit behind the name…

When I founded Flow Physio London, Flow felt like the natural choice and not just because my name is Flo.

For me, good physiotherapy has always been about helping people get back to feeling like themselves. Moving well, feeling strong and confident in their body, and getting back to the things they love.

There’s no one size fits all approach to that. Sometimes it’s about reducing pain, sometimes rebuilding strength, and sometimes simply understanding what your body needs.

That’s really where Find your Flow came from.

A little play on my name, perhaps but more importantly, the philosophy behind everything we do at Flow Physio London.

I’m not only interested in where it hurts.

When I’m assessing someone, I want to understand how everything is moving together. What feels restricted, what’s working harder than it should and whether something elsewhere might be contributing to the problem.

Often, it’s those little details that help us piece together the bigger picture and work out what your body actually needs.

As clients return from summer, we often see the same pattern: a return to training at exactly the same intensity as before the break.

Conditioning and load tolerance can change surprisingly quickly during periods of reduced or altered activity.

Many training related injuries occur when the demands placed on the body increase faster than its capacity to adapt. It is rarely simply bad luck, more often a question of load, recovery and timing.

Taking a week or two to progressively rebuild your training base can make a significant difference.

As September draws closer, we’re starting to welcome back lots of clients after summers away.

There’s something about this time of year that always feels like a natural reset. Getting back into training, returning to routines, and finding the time to focus on the things that may have been put to one side over the summer.

We’ve always been particular about the spaces we work from. Somewhere that feels calm and considered, while still allowing us to do the detailed clinical work we’re there to do.

Looking forward to a busy September at Flow.

Most problems don’t build from a lack of awareness. They build because there’s never time to stop.

That’s why we work closely with hedge funds and businesses across London, providing access to physiotherapy before a manageable issue starts costing you training, travel, sleep or work.

Sometimes the best intervention isn’t treatment.

It’s timing.

Particularly over the summer, I’m always reminded just how international our client base at Flow has become.

We have patients travelling all over the world, as well as people coming to see us while they’re in London. It means our work often extends beyond the treatment room: staying in touch while people are away, video consultations, adapting rehabilitation around travel and connecting with the clinicians, trainers and healthcare teams involved in their care.

Over time, we’ve built relationships with clinicians in many of the places our patients regularly travel to, which helps us keep their care connected wherever they happen to be.

It’s a part of what we do that I really value, and something I’ve written a little more about in our latest journal.

The exercise is only part of the treatment.

The coaching is what brings it to life.

The cues, the adjustments, the timing and the progression are often what make the difference.

ā€œI meet many people who have invested in full body scans, comprehensive blood panels & every imaginable performance metric.

They’re informed, engaged and genuinely committed to their health. Yet the conversation often returns to the same place.

Not because the technology isn’t valuable but because it doesn’t change the way the body adapts.

There are moments when we need to search for answers.

There are also moments when the answer is to stop searching and start building.ā€
