There is nothing better than having local crafty pals but I know its hard to find them!

First, look for your city in the comments below - each comment thread is one city/region and reply to the thread to say "hi I'm here! I like to sew XYZ!" etc.

If your city isn't listed, comment your city, for example, "Eugene, OR 🌲" and others can comment on the thread to say hi.

Once this post gets rolling, you should be able in theory to find local pals! Be brave and send a DM to locals or make a group chat. Please use internet safety basics and if you meet up, meet in a public place.

Meet up ideas:
-Local fabric store to peruse and chat
-Local library to look at crafting books
-Local coffee shop to trade supplies, buttons, zippers etc

LOCALS !! Please put November 7th in your calendars as you won’t wanna miss this big local-only-sale-event! 🫶

We will share the exact time when we get a little closer but tentatively we are planning 11am-4pm and of course, this event will be at our local warehouse (address under our FAQ on our website too): 4216 West 7th Ave unit J, Eugene, OR)

This will be a holiday / fall inspired version of our summer open house and we will have lots of market pop up vendors (including a bread baker omg!) 🥖🥨🥐

local order pickup will be closed tomorrow (Wednesday September 30th) 🖤

Ya know what’s super sweet? Our team and 2 warehouse subletters (@needle_or_thread and @shopsecondkind ) are all good pals so sometimes you just gotta close the warehouse on a random Wednesday to catch an out of town show together and go on a small town thrifting adventure road trip ✌️@sewariasew @kbooyamakesamess

Pickup hours resume on Thursday and if anyone is curious, all of our local pickup hours and address are under the FAQ page on the website 🖤

A closer look at our new midweight corduroys and fall inspired color range 🍂

We recommend these for casual elastic pants (heavier corduroys for jeans and jackets will debut in October 👀), button down shirts for fall layering, and for structured dresses. @sewariasew made an Aspen dress by @fabricgodmother with the Chartreuse and it’s the perfect pattern pairing 👏

I wish you could touch the new Midweight Stonewashed Linens through the screen 😭🙌

They are dreamy-buttery-soft with a flowy drape, 6oz (heavier side of midweight so perfectly opaque and substantial/ durable but not actually heavy feeling), and our curated color range for fall is chefs kiss 💕 by @fluidplusdrape

5 new midweight corduroy colors (perfect for elastic waist pants, skirts and layering shirts)
5 curated sandwashed poplin colors (and we restocked black for y’all!)
11 new colors of our new fave midweight linen that is a smidge heavier than midweight (6oz) and it’s a DREAM to wear and sew - buttery soft, completely opaque, lovely drape!

I've been seeing this #mirotop & #arthurpants combo all over the IG and decided I needed to try it out too!

I have a really hard time wearing any type of "blouse" but love a wrap top and this looked like one that I might actually wear.

I made the Miro top by @suechinglascelles in a size large and decided not to lengthen it even though it's drafted for 5'3" because I prefer my tops shorter. I omitted the sleeve cuffs and instead lengthened the sleeves by 2". I also decided to skip the side slits and made a 1" opening on each side for the ties.

Arthur pants by @sewliberated are straight size 12 (two sizes down from where the size chart puts me)

Both were made with the newest sandwashed Midweight linen from @fluidplusdrape It feels so buttery & luxurious and is going to be my new go to linen for everything!

Colors are Plum & Mahogany by @fluidplusdrape
