Do normal people look at fish and see fish? Because I just see lashes. 🙈

I went to the pet shop with my auntie to get cat food and ended up standing there completely mesmerised by the fish. The colours, the fins, the patterns, the textures… all I could think was how fucking cool they would look as lash sets.

So obviously I came home, started drawing, pulled out a ridiculous amount of lash trays and somehow ended up with these three masterpieces.

And this is officially my first Lash Flash 🐟

Basically, Lash Flash is where I take whatever random shit inspires me and turn it into lashes. I get to make the weird stuff living in my head, and you get a discounted custom set. Everybody wins 😂

These three sets will be $190 each, normally $240, and that includes your aftercare.

I’ll be allowing around 4 hours for the appointment. The sets themselves should take me about 3.5, but I don’t want to rush them and I want time afterwards for photos and video because these are content sets.

So you do need to be comfortable being photographed/filmed and happy to let me have creative control with the design. I’ll still adjust lengths, curls and placement to suit your eyes and your natural lashes because I am obviously the set will still be customised for YOU.

There’s only one of each design available.

And after these… I’m starting on the Halloween ones 👀🎃

Day 1 of posting a random single photo to the grid 📸

Reminder I still do black lashes, just hevily customised for YOU. ✨️

This set is actually a mix of 3 different curls & 3 different diameters to create that soft textured look.

Originally this client had requested 'hybrid wispy lashes' but after a thorough consultation I realised what she was really asking for:

-texture & movement
-light weight feel
-dark lash line
-varying density, to really enhance the cat eye wing
-no stickys or uncomfortable pulling & tugging
-easy aftercare routine explained in a way that is understood and achievable for her lifestyle.

Did you think the extensions were attached to the skin? 👀

There should be a small gap between the eyelid and the extension and it matters far more than you might think.

Safe placement means understanding how the extension will behave as the natural lash grows, while keeping the application comfortable, balanced and healthy throughout the lash cycle.

Too close to the skin? You risk irritation, discomfort and poor isolation.

But what about too far away? As the natural lash grows, the extension can twist, droop or place unnecessary stress on the natural lash.

That’s why proper isolation and placement are so important. The natural lash needs to be clearly exposed and separated before applying an extension. Effective taping can help lift the skin back, giving you better visibility and allowing you to work with greater precision.

Good taping doesn’t replace good isolation but it helps you avoid placing extensions too close to the skin, too far from the base or onto more than one natural lash.

And if you’re a beginner, don’t sacrifice safety in pursuit of a perfect 0.5mm gap. Confident, consistent placement matters more than rushing to work as close to the skin as possible.

And for my lash clients: these are the small details happening throughout your appointment that you may never notice.

A beautiful set that’s comfortable, feels light weight, carefully placed and not damaging your natural lashes? That’s the standard we’re aiming for.

Let's break it down: what actually goes into a set like this?

5 different curls, 5 different trays, different fanning & placement techniques, 3+ hours application time.

All of that is after finding the idea and drawing the mock up, then fitting that design to the clients facial measurements and requirements.

Client reactions like this warm my fkn soul. This is why I'm so heavy on customisation, the lashes need to perfectly suit you and your features.

No map you find online will give your clients this feeling.

Of course I had to try this for myself before being able to reccomend it to you all.

Safe to say im sold, this cleansing mist keeps my lashes feeling clean all day, it is perfect for after gym or a long walk if you don't have the time or resources to do a full lash wash.

This is NOT a replacement for your lash cleanser simply an extra addition to help in between washes.

I will be placing an order for these tomorrow 🏃‍♀️ and hoping to have them available for you all in salon in the next 2 weeks 😀

Another year of International Lash Masters done 🖤

This was the first year they had TWO full days back to back and fuck me, my social battery was absolutely hanging on by a thread by the end 😂 But it was so worth it.

There was so much knowledge packed into one weekend. Incredible speakers, hands-on workshops, conversations with people who have been in this industry for years, new products to play with, way too much shopping, good food, new friends and getting to catch up with people I don’t get to see nearly enough.

These events always remind me how much I fucking love this industry. There is always something new to learn, someone new to meet and another reason to keep putting yourself in rooms that make you a little uncomfortable.

A massive thank you to Deanna and all the brands, speakers who pulled this all together and made the weekend what it was. The amount of work that must go into pulling something like this off, especially across two days, is insane.
