✨ Giving Flight to Your Fight
👱🏼‍♀️ In loving memory of Lisa Marzullo
✈️ Granting dream trips to breast cancer fighters
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Kara Frair is one of our 2026 Dream Vacation grant recipients and her story was just featured on @clevelanddotcom and we are overjoyed her story is being shared.

Kara is a three-time childhood cancer survivor who is now facing breast cancer. Through it all, she has been determined to keep living, experiencing new things, and finding moments of joy with her husband and 9-year-old son.

When Kara found out she was a 2026 Dream Vacation recipient, she described it as “shocking, exhilarating and thrilling.” And this is why we do what we do.

Next spring, Kara will head to Rome and the Amalfi Coast. We can’t wait to watch Kara make memories, eat all the pasta, take some cooking classes (and hopefully redeem that carbonara [if you know you know] 😆), and most importantly live.

@kara_frair, we are so honored to give you a reason to look forward, dream big and Fly Again. 💜✈️

Avamarie Warden is one of our 2026 Dream Vacation grant recipients and we are so excited to share her story.

Avamarie is a Stage IV Triple Positive metastatic breast cancer thriver who continues to embrace life through advocacy, dancing, modeling, crafting, and spending time with the people she loves (tell us more about: Girl Dinner & Origami nights). In her own words, “Living with MBC has taught me how precious moments of joy and connection actually are.”

When we read Avamarie’s story, we were inspired by her undeniable Lisa Marzullo spirit.

Early next year, Avamarie is headed to Barbados, a place that holds deep meaning for her and her family. Her father’s family is from St. Michaels, and this trip will give her the opportunity to reconnect with her roots, spend time with family, and bring her father’s ashes home to spread on the beach.

We can’t wait to watch Avamarie create new memories in a place that has held so much meaning and loss, and now hopefully experience the healing, connection, and joy that comes from returning home.

@avamarie we are so honored to give you something to look forward to, a chance to experience life’s magic, and most importantly, the opportunity to Fly Again. 💜✈️ by @flyagainfoundation

Jessie Morales is one of our 2026 Dream Vacation grant recipients, and we are so excited to share her story. 💜✈️

Jessie is a Stage III Breast Cancer thriver who has openly shared her journey online, including the hard days, the scary moments, the questions, the emotions, and everything in between. By showing up so vulnerable, she reminds others they don’t have to go through it alone.

Her story feels especially close to our hearts because it reminds us so much of Lisa.

When Lisa was diagnosed, she started what she lovingly called her “Boob Blog,” sharing her breast cancer journey with friends and family. She wanted people to know what was happening and to be honest about the good, the bad, and the really freaking hard parts.

Lisa believed in sharing your story. Jessie does too.

There is something incredibly powerful about turning vulnerability into connection, education, and advocacy, and helping someone else feel a little less alone.

Jessie, we are honored to be a small part of your next chapter and helping you Fly Again to Italy and Switzerland! 🇮🇹🇨🇭 by @flyagainfoundation

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re working toward a big goal: raising $25,000 to make more Dream Vacations possible.

The people in these photos got to take a Dream Vacation with someone they love. They were able to take the time to explore, rest, laugh, and make memories that have nothing to do with treatment.

Five years in, Fly Again has made 10 Dream Vacations happen for young adults facing breast cancer. Now, we want to make more possible.

Yesterday, we shared that our annual NYC fundraiser raised $16,000, which means we’re more than halfway to our goal! If you can, donate through the link in our bio. If you can’t, sharing this post helps too. Let’s give more people something to look forward to. ✈️ by @flyagainfoundation

We are a little late in posting but a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our annual fundraiser in NYC! It’s always great to be with the Fly AF fam, and together we raised $16,000 to help make more Dream Vacations possible. 💜

Our founder, David Marzullo, reminded us why we fly again, 2025 Grant recipient and our newest board member Bridget shared her Dream Vacation story, and we were so excited for her to meet this year's Grant recipient Avamarie! It’s our yearly moment to come together, honor Lisa, and show her we also know how to throw a party. A tradition we love, with people we love.

And don’t forget we had incredible prizes – see some winners later this week and Spoiler: more are coming virtually. 👀

Now, onward and upward! Let’s hit our $25,000 fundraising goal and give more young adults facing breast cancer something to look forward to. ✈️ by @flyagainfoundation

Let’s talk about young adult breast cancer. Now’s the time, right? It sucks.

Lisa Marzullo, our namesake and inspiration, was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer at 29. Still sucks to say it, but she died at 31.

During those two years, through treatment, radiation, and losing her hair, she kept asking, “When can I fly again?”

And she did. She traveled to be with friends, to go to weddings, to take that trip to Australia. To see the Sydney Opera House, feed the kangaroos, and find moments of joy in a not-so-joyous time with the people she loved.

We Fly Again because of her. We grant Dream Vacations because of her. We spread awareness about young adult breast cancer because of her.

In five years, we’ve made 10 Dream Vacations possible for young adults facing breast cancer, each with a companion of their choice. These young women have traveled to Iceland, Jordan, the Philippines, and beyond. Our next crew is headed to Italy, Switzerland, and Barbados.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It’s the time everyone talks about it, but shit, breast cancer happens all year long. We can’t lose sight of that.

We’re on a mission to make breast cancer suck less. This month, our goal is to raise $25,000 to make more Dream Vacations possible.

Lisa loved a party. More than that, she knew how to throw one.

So when we get together in her name, we do it right: good people, good drinks, and a very good reason to show up.

Join us at Mary’s on Saturday, October 3 to celebrate Lisa and raise money for more Dream Vacations. She’d want a full house. 💓

New look. Same mission.

We updated our colors. We got some new fonts. We cleaned up the logo. And our feed is about to look 🔥

The website? She’s still catching up.

Here’s the thing: Fly Again is a volunteer-led organization. So this rebrand rollout is probably not going to be one of those perfectly coordinated, everything-changes-at-midnight situations.

Some things will look new. Some things will look old. Something will definitely be a little janky.

We’re good with it.

Because underneath the new look, nothing that matters has changed. We’re still here to make breast cancer suck less by sending young adults facing breast cancer on Dream Vacations with the person they want by their side.

Same mission. Fresh coat of paint.

Also, while we have you: know Wix or Webflow? We’d love some help getting our website caught up with the rest of us. Slide into our DMs. ✈️ by @flyagainfoundation

If you’re new around here… HI! 👋 We’re Fly Again Foundation, and we’re so glad you found us. Over the past year, our little corner of the internet has grown, and that means more people who believe young adults with breast cancer deserve something forward to something.

The Annual Fly AF Fundraiser is taking off on October 3 in NYC, and we want YOU there!

Come for the raffles, drinks, bites, and good times. Stay for the stories, the community, and the reminder of why we do what we do.

Every donation and dollar raised helps us give young adults battling breast cancer the chance to take a Dream Vacation when they need it most.

Whether you’ve been following us since day one or literally just found us yesterday, you’re part of the Fly AF crew now. 💜

Come hang. Bring your friends. Bring your coworkers. Bring your cousin who always wins raffles. 😂

Let’s pack the place and help more young adults FLY AGAIN. ✈️

Last week we announced the three people granted Dream Vacations. And we bet you’re wondering what exactly does a Dream Vacation look like?

Here is a spotlight of Taryn’s Dream Vacation in Iceland:

🐋 Went whale watching in the Faxafloi Bay
🤿Snorkeled through the crystal clear waters of Silfra Fissure
🧊 Explored the inside of Langjökull glacier
🥾 Hiked on the Sólheimajökull glacier
💦 Walked behind Seljalandsfoss waterfall
🌌 Chased the Northern Lights across Iceland
🧖‍♀️ Kicked back at the Blue Lagoon

Basically… Taryn said, “If I’m going to Iceland, I’m doing Iceland.” 🇮🇸✨

And that’s the point.

A Fly Again Dream Vacation isn’t a cookie-cutter vacation. It’s thoughtfully planned around the recipient. It is filled with adventure, unforgettable experiences, time to breathe, and a whole lot of JOY.

Because after everything our recipients have been through, they deserve a Dream Vacation.

And this? This is what it looks like to Give Flight to the Fight. ✈️ by @flyagainfoundation
