Last year I did roughly 10,000 km during the rains. This year was different with only two rides under the stormy weather. And I haven't been riding as much as I'd like to anyway.

But hey, I'm happy that there's another Himmy 450 tail to admire with @siddharthdamle getting his new set of wings.
Also, the second trail run consisted of rare species of birds, wide smiles, properly eating mud, and 4 falls - thanks to me taking a road-centric rear tyre to some untapped trails. I'm so grateful for enduro boots however because the 3rd fall only felt like a small scratch even though it was 220 kg resting on my left leg and me unable to drag it out from under. Next time, I will be taking a lighter Sherpa and a stock CEAT, that's for sure. 🌧️ taken in Pune, India by @flyingputwij

A Sunday peek on social media after a long time to show you all a dinner I cooked for Aai while she was out for a picnic. This was a proper personal best with roughly 3 and half hours spent and the specs are as follows:
- Vanilla shikhanda
- Mint-pistachio-cashew-coconut batata bhaji
- Tomato-banana-pomegranate koshimbir
- Polis were store bought of course because I'm only capable of rolling maps

The pre-monsoon skies have shown their truest colours, this season. These colours and the clouds perhaps work as a necessary stock-up to prepare for the monsoon greys. And now the flourishing greens and rich browns will be back in and I'll be on the saddle flying through it all. 🌿 taken in Pune, India by @flyingputwij

'Look where you want to go' is a key skill when it comes to riding with ease and utmost safety. I have found myself away from the tarmac and into the fields a couple of times during my early days of being on a motorcycle. With time I've learnt to enjoy the views and keep my eyes on the horizon. Looking far helps. The best solution however would be to park your bike and smile around a little bit and then get going again. Oh and that Kaza Brown tank looks so stunning under the golden Tamhini light. 🕶️ by @flyingputwij

A lot of emotions have been felt over the past 40,000km with this motorcycle. The strongest of them all has been all about gratitude towards being able to escape the underlying chaos of an urban setting and indulge in the serenity of a rural one. It is in more ways than one, an opportunity to temporarily forget the weight of pain and consequence. It is taking a step back and yet making quantum leaps towards brighter days. I hope that each one of us finds something that holds this kind of power.

While Sherpa was at the garage for about a week, everyday was spent missing the machine and waiting to get back on it. The brass chain was dropped, clutch cable changed, new filters and oil added in, making the Himalayan a rich pillow to swerve around on. The photos are from a 390km Sunday-morning outing involving a hearty plate of Misal for breakfast, series of waves at a large group of fellow motorcycle enthusiasts passing by and looking at a variety of clouds and ombre skies all along. 💆🏻‍♂️ taken in Pune, India by @flyingputwij

What are we to do when we hit a really gravel-y, rocky, rubble-y patch? Oh we get up from the saddle and simply keep going. Such is life and everything around it. Sun looking over the shoulder will always be a constant no matter what. 🌪️

Mother dearest and I went drag racing on an airstrip in the all-new Renault Duster. Man, is it a rocket? And my mother is an astronaut. Having driven long, solo trips to places like Udupi and Prayagraj under her belt, she floored the pedal with superior confidence. I did my best as a passenger prince to keep my mouth shut. The adventure seeking is definitely in the blood just that I happen to be a motorcycles guy. 🚀
