It’s difficult to believe that it has already been a year since my first solo- December 18, 2024.

This opportunity absolutely changed my life. Flying the electric plane allowed me to see a different side of aviation that many haven’t yet, and it was an eye-opening experience.

I would like to give the most heart-felt thank you to my hard-working instructor, Ian, and the entire Sealand Flight family. You’ve all shown me the utmost support and kindness, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without you.
And thank you, to each and every one of you who have been following along in my aviation journey thus far.

The electric has so much potential, and is already being used as an exceptional, (and cheaper) plane that is designed to take one from their first flight to their first solo.
Every year, the technology will advance, and it will only get better. In the meantime, I am thrilled that the next generation of air travel is gaining more publicity.

It’s difficult to put in to words what last night meant to me. The people, the atmosphere- everything was perfect at the 2025 BCAC Silver Wings Awards.
Congratulations to those who received an award last night. You’re leading the new generation of aviators by example, and I’m proud to have shared a stage with you.

I am beyond grateful to be this year’s recipient of the Bain and Brown Award. This wonderful couple has generously gifted me a $20,000 scholarship, which will help me immensely throughout my flight training. Thank you both for changing my life. You’ve demonstrated true kindness- I truly look up to you two in so many ways.
And a special congratulations to last year’s recipient, (and the first for this award) Kainoa Laimana, who is actively proving that hard work will lead to great success.

As many of you know, flight training often leaves pilots with great debt and financial troubles, but this award provides a way around that. I hope to be an example to other inspiring pilots that hard work will pay off. Put yourself out there, network, work hard, and enjoy what you do.

The aviation community is the best environment that I have ever witnessed. Instead of competing against one another, everyone wants to help each other succeed, which always comes with great friendships along the way. Thank you to all who have helped me throughout my training thus far. Your support means the absolute world to me, and I hope I’m making each and every one of you proud.
