It’s week 3 of JUMPIN! As we enter the final ‘stretch’, the YOW Jetsetters headed to Tonica Pilates Club for a free reformer class, one of the many great participation perks! C'est la troisième semaine de JUMP IN! The Authority’s YOW Jetsetters team has been busy jumping in this month to support the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and women’s heart health. Team members have committed to 30 minutes of exercise for 30 days, and some have even gotten together to try new activities along the way. A big thank‑you to Altea and Wheelhouse for welcoming our YOW Jetsetters and helping keep the momentum going. Halfway there, team – let’s keep the energy high all month long! ❤️❤️❤️ L’équipe « YOW Jetsetters » de l’Administration s’est mobilisée ce mois-ci pour soutenir l’Institut de cardiologie de l’université d’Ottawa et la santé cardiaque des femmes. Les membres de l’équipe se sont engagés à faire 30 minutes d’exercice pendant 30 jours, et certains se sont même retrouvés pour essayer de nouvelles activités au cours du mois. Un grand merci à Altea et Wheelhouse d’avoir accueilli nos YOW Jetsetters et d’avoir contribué à maintenir cette dynamique. Happy Pride, Ottawa! Joyeuse Fierté, Ottawa! We’re ready to take off with Ottawa Pride Week and show our support for the 2SLGBTQ+ community here at YOW. The Ottawa airport is a safe and welcoming space. We’re grateful to our Pride Working Group for their ongoing dedication and for bringing airport colleagues together to celebrate Pride at YOW. A special thank you as well for their collaboration with our Operations team to make the most of scheduled runway maintenance time and create a moment of Pride on the airfield. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤎🩵🩷🤍 Nous sommes prêts à décoller avec la Semaine de la Fierté d’Ottawa et à soutenir la communauté 2SLGBTQ+ ici, à YOW. Today’s announcement, made in collaboration with the Ottawa Police Service, reflects our city’s commitment to ending human trafficking. Together, we’re standing up and saying #NotInMyCity. Earlier this year, the Authority partnered with Not In My City to strengthen awareness and education around human trafficking at the airport. We explored what it is, how it happens, and how we can all play a role in prevention as an organization. But human trafficking is the fastest‑growing crime in Canada, and addressing it requires a united effort across our city. We extend our sincere thanks to the Ottawa Police Service, the Not In My City organization, Paul Brandt, Porter Airlines, and the Alt Hotel for hosting and supporting today’s event. // L'annonce d'aujourd'hui, faite en collaboration avec le Service de police d'Ottawa, témoigne de l'engagement de notre ville à mettre fin à la traite des êtres humains. Ensemble, nous prenons position et affirmons #PasDansMaVille. Plus tôt cette année, l'Administration s'est associée à Not In My City afin de renforcer la sensibilisation et l'éducation concernant la traite des êtres humains à l'aéroport. Nous avons examiné ce qu’est ce phénomène, comment il se produit et comment nous pouvons tous, en tant qu’organisation, jouer un rôle dans sa prévention. Mais la traite des êtres humains est le crime qui connaît la croissance la plus rapide au Canada, et pour y faire face, un effort collectif est nécessaire à l’échelle de notre ville.
