A very good day to have Mahjong on the calendar. 🀄✨

On October 24, Muumuus x Mahjong returns to Folklore Spa for a full day of tiles, tea, friendly competition, and time spent well away from the everyday.

Whether you’re learning the game or already know your way around the table, settle in for two instructor-led group Mahjong classes, make your way back for open play, then trade the tiles for an Asian-inspired high tea lunch, a 60-minute massage, and time to enjoy the spa at your own pace.

Part Mahjong retreat, part spa day, and entirely worth clearing your calendar for.

Some stories are worth revisiting.

Just down the path at Camp Lucy, a world of color, curiosity, and restoration awaits. At Folklore Spa, every room has a story to tell, every detail holds a little wonder, and wellness unfolds in the most imaginative ways.

We loved seeing Folklore through Kathryn Streeter’s eyes, as she explored the thoughtful details, storied surroundings, and colorful experiences that make this little corner of the Hill Country so distinctly its own.

A heartfelt thank you to Kathryn, again, for capturing the spirit of Folklore so beautifully. by @folklorespa

Some rituals belong to a season. The Amber Glow belongs to autumn. 🍂

Golden apricot, mineral-rich sea salt and white wine body cream layer the skin in polish, nourishment and deep hydration before The Dew Ritual brings the final touch of luminosity.

Warm, enveloping and deliciously indulgent, it’s our ode to the season in all its amber-hued splendor.

A room made for getting pleasantly lost in the pages.

At Folklore, treatments begin in the House of Grasshopper, our library sitting room where guests are invited to settle in before their appointment. Choose a book and pour a cup of tea before the next chapter of your wellness ritual begins.

Around here, even the waiting has a story to tell. by @folklorespa

At Folklore, even the treatment rooms have stories to tell. ✨

Each is its own little world, dressed in a language of pattern and pigment and named for destinations woven into our owners’ travels. Climbing botanicals, jewel-bright florals, painted orchards, fantastical creatures, gilded mirrors and collected textiles give every room a personality entirely its own.

No two alike, each one designed to make your treatment feel as transportive as it is restorative.

A story told through every detail, first recognized in Austin and now across Texas. ✨

We’re honored to share that Folklore Spa received First Place in the Commercial Retail category at the 2026 ASID Celebrating Design Texas Awards.

From expressive patterns and collected artwork to tactile materials, organic forms and architectural curiosities, every detail of Folklore carries a piece of the story. Layered together, they create a sanctuary that feels warm, worldly and wonderfully unexpected.

We’re grateful to @Jackson_McElhaney_Architects, Charlotte Smiley Interiors, and the full design team for bringing that story to life, one thoughtful detail at a time. by @folklorespa
