Myth Magic & Monoliths

Cornwall offers history, folkore & fables in abundance, just drriving on the moors we found monolithic monuments, circles & burial mounds- some we viewed from across a field,, walking over ancient stones- climbing over stiles - not wooden but deep stones that I must be honest I struggled to climb.

Historical standing stones - the strength of the British isles - worn away , but held .
Ancient folkore tales held in local museums, folk & the tell tale hearts shared with those who listen.

And as the cycles turn & the winds change, I look through the summer times of 26 & the thread of circles are there to be seen.

Awesome PV @viki__knott Art Gallery celebrating New & Rediscovered artists.
The new exhibition Above & Beyond celebrates nature inspired ceramics by @charlottecadzow with floral curation by @sophie_c0rbett & the incense, goody bag & Turkish delights divine.
Again I collected my purchase by Rosemary Wren & enjoyed the exhibition with a few more treats.

Mastering his art sculptures later in life Jean Arp was a huge influence on Hepworth & Moore bringing sculptural organic forms into the home.
Plaster evolved into stone, wood & bronze forms making it pleasing to the eye in architectural settings.
Calming natural colours are regenerated today in many home interiors often with plant settings bringing the outside in with the essence of nature sitting within the home.

A recent visit to a lovely pottery studio in the village of Kirton in Lindsey.
Established in 1975 it’s recently opened its doors to have a gallery .
So many magical shapes & creatures on display- reminded me a little of Leonora Carringtons work..
A must visit if you are in the area.
