We’ve gained quite the handful of new followers recently, so I thought it might be a nice idea to do some posts introducing everyone 🙂

Obviously, we need to start with my OG, my absolute soul dog, Flossy. 🧡

Floss is 8 years old & is my very first own dog.

I got her from a sheep farmer in Kent. I will admit that I did zero research on Border Collies 😅 I was actually planning on having a Working Cocker Spaniel from my boss at the time, but I wanted a girl & all the pups in the litter were boys.

I then had a friend say I should get a Border Collie as I lived and worked on a dairy farm… so that’s what I did! I found a litter of puppies just down the road from me, went to see them, fell in love, and Floss came home with me 🙊

I honestly couldn’t imagine owning any other breed now. I’m totally obsessed.

Floss had quite a rough start to life when we brought her home. She had a looooot of tummy issues with things such as Giardia, Coccidia, Cryptosporidium & Campylobacter. The vets were our second home 😅 Every time we thought we were clear of one, another would appear, and she was on a lot of medication and antibiotics until she was around 6 months old.

Floss also unfortunately had a lot of bad experiences with dogs early on. We had a lot of incidents where Floss was attacked by other dogs or chased, which made her incredibly nervous.

We have come a loooong way in 8 years, and Floss is now pretty relaxed around the majority of dogs. She’s always been a good girl and never been interested in saying hello or interacting with random dogs, but unfortunately, not everyone’s dog is the same.

So, in busy or unknown places, Floss wears a muzzle to help keep other dogs away from her and to keep her comfortable and happy. Which is why you may see her wearing a muzzle in some photos 🥰

When Floss was 6, she was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia and Osteoarthritis. But with regular physio treatments and the right management with joint care, diet and exercise, Floss is still able to live a perfect life. 🧡

Cosy season 🧺🧶🍂

I feel like the weather is on the turn, the last 2 mornings it’s been so gloomy and foggy here, but the day has still turned out really warm with 22C. However I think we’re in for some cooler temps now… and dare I say it rain 🥲 typically it’s forecast to rain all day tomorrow & Friday… the days I have off work & had plans to get new photos 🤣

Has anyone make pumpkin soup yet? Or are we holding off a bit longer? 🎃 by @followingfloss

Landscape shots always do 💩 on here, but for once I actually managed to get some action shots so I’m sharing them whatever instagram thinks 🤪

I love action shots but hardly ever take them because my camera is very slow and so am i 🤣 so majority tent to be out of focus or my timing isn’t very good so the action shot doesn’t look that great. But the beach was the perfect place to practice as we had so much space to ourselves and I’m really happy with the shots that I got! 😍 by @followingfloss

Update on the Chevy spay saga 😅

Her spay has been cancelled, she still has milk and she’s still very much hormonal so the decision was made to cancel it. She’s already had 2 rounds of medication to dry up her milk which hasn’t worked, I didn’t want to give her another round (plus it’s SO expensive😅) so she gets to keep her ovaries for a little while longer 🤪

On another note, where is this heat coming from!? 25 degrees yesterday 🥵 don’t get me wrong I’m very grateful that it isn’t raining (probably jinxed it now), but very much ready for autumn cosy vibes, I’m ready for pumpkin soup and amazing hot chocolates- desperately awaiting the return of Costa’s Black Forest Hot Chocolate iykyk 👀🤤 by @followingfloss

So Chevy’s spay may have been delayed until the end of the month 🫠 but we were very kindly gifted some of @ardengrangeuk NEW Neutered kibble to try and it definitely gets the licks of approval! 😋

It is specially formulated for spayed & neutered adult dogs. It’s a lean, grain free recipe specially formulated to support a healthy weight and has added joint care nutrients to help support and protect their joints!

Flossy is already spayed so she will also really benefit from this kibble, we do have to watch her weight as she can easily put on a few lbs in we’re not careful 🙈
