CIS 105: Cybersecurity Essentials introduces the basics of cybersecurity. For current CIS students, it’s also an opportunity to build a more versatile skill set that can help them stand out to employers.

Registration is still open for the eight-week course beginning Monday, October 19!

Join us as we continue celebrating Cybersecurity Awareness Month by taking the next step toward developing real-world cybersecurity skills. Talk with your advisor about adding CIS 105 to your schedule.

It’s audition time at SC4!

SC4 and New Beginnings Theatre are seeking singers, dancers, actors and instrumentalists for the upcoming MLK Day show, “The Beauty in the Struggle.” Performers should come prepared with a song to sing or dance to, or an instrument to play.

Auditions will be held in the SC4 Fine Arts Theatre on Monday October 19 and Thursday October 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. The performance will be on Martin Luther King Jr Day 2027, on January 18.

Press Release: SC4 Expands Student Success Pathways Through Enhanced Access, Technology and Student Support

PORT HURON, Mich. — St. Clair County Community College (SC4) has received a $2 million grant from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation to support student achievement and expand opportunities for college attainment throughout St. Clair County and the surrounding region. The grant recognizes SC4’s ongoing work to improve college access, strengthen student success and support the region’s workforce needs.

SC4 is advancing a comprehensive student success strategy designed to increase college access, improve retention and completion, and strengthen career and technical education opportunities. Key initiatives include expanding dual enrollment opportunities aligned with career pathways, helping students identify clear academic and career goals early in their college experience, and creating seamless transfer opportunities to high-demand bachelor’s degree programs.

Through its partnership with Saginaw Valley State University, SC4 is also supporting pathways to bachelor’s degrees, including the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), helping students pursue advanced educational opportunities while building on their experience at SC4.

“These initiatives represent a significant investment in our students and the future of our community,” said Sarah Rutallie, Chief of Staff at SC4. “By creating clear educational pathways, expanding access to college opportunities, leveraging technology and providing comprehensive student support, we are helping more students achieve their educational and career goals. These efforts also help build the skilled workforce our local employers need while creating greater opportunities for individuals and families throughout our region.”
