lasagna featuring my homemade vodka sauce!!! this is hands down the best lasagna i've ever madeeeee!!

**the key to using oven-ready lasagne is to drench each piece and all the edges in sauce so that it cooks properly and gets soft!!

WHAT YOU NEED:

2 cups FOJ vodka sauce (linked in my bio)
1 box oven-ready lasagne

(Cheese filling ingredients)
16 oz ricotta cheese
6 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan
1 cup shredded mozzarella
1 egg
1 tbsp grated garlic
A pinch of salt and pepper
A heavy handful of fresh Italian herbs, I used basil and parsley

HOW TO MAKE:

Preheat the oven to 400°F while you prep the vodka sauce and mix together the cheese filling ingredients.

Grab a 9x13" baking pan. (Barilla oven-ready sheets will fit perfectly into this size!)

Time to layer. Start with the vodka sauce in the bottom of the pan. Add three sheets of lasagne on top of the sauce, add a layer of cheese filling and repeat until you run out of lasange sheets. Finish the top layer of lasange sheets with mozzarella shreds and pour vodka sauce over the top.

Bake for 30 minutes and let the lasagna cool down for 15 minutes before slicing and serving! by @foodsofjane

Sneakyyyy protein and nutrients in your mac & cheese >>

This has been my go-to recipe for mac and cheese now that i have to share most meals with my little ones!! Only 5 ingredients + it's protein and nutrient packed thanks to bone broth!!

WHAT YOU NEED:

2 tbsp butter
1 cup mini choo choo wheel pasta
1 16.9 oz bone broth (i love @kettleandfire)
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup freshly shredded cheddar cheese

WHAT TO DO:

1. Melt the butter in a skillet and add the pasta. Cook for a few minutes until most of the butter is absorbed.

2. Add the bone broth and cook until the pasta is al dente and all of the liquid is about 80% absorbed.

3. Stir in the heavy cream. Add in the cheese and stir until fully melted and mixed in before scooping into bowls and serving. by @foodsofjane

Hi it's me! Lots of food content and only a little Jane content lately. Tons of new followers in the last month soooo I wanted to take a second to highlight some major things that you might not know about me that have happened since I started my blog in 2013!!!! This is my unofficial resume lol.

2015 - I won Zoup Soup's National Recipe Contest with a spicy noodle soup recipe! I'm not sure if it's still sold at the stores but they renamed my recipe "Dragonfire Noodle Bowl" lol so if you happen to see it on the menu, try it!! It's mine!

I took a bath in ramen noodles to celebrate hitting the 10k follower mark on IG and my photos were featured on ABC's The Chew!!

2016 - I won Judge's Choice Award for my Sausage Gravy Grilled Cheese via The Grilled Cheese Academy/Wisconsin Cheese (the prize was $1500 and a giant basket of cheese!! Heaven!)

2017 - I was named one of the top 100 food bloggers in the nation via the 2017 Zagat Foodie Awards (the only food blogger in the state of Ohio!!)

2020 - I was named one of Cleveland's Most Interesting People by Cleveland Magazine and featured in their December issue!!

Throughout the years, I've worked with brands like Amazon, National Geographic, Verizon, and I even developed a Super Bowl recipe with Progressive Insurance a few years ago!!

I also have multiple celeb followers 👀 Drew Barrymore, Chrissy Teigen, Gigi Hadid, Emma Roberts. I never keep track of who follows me and to be honest, I've never been the girl to keep up with celebrity stuff AT ALL, but every once in a while someone will message me and let me know they saw so-and-so follows my insta and I think it's pretty coool!! taken in Cleveland, Ohio by @foodsofjane

Pasta is my ride orzo die. 🫶🏼🚲 Quick and easy meals only in these final few days of pregnancy!!! (pairs so well with a crispyyyy chicken cutlet.) Also, if you find it hard to get that creamy cacio e pepe sauce consistency the original way, this is foolproof!!!

RECIPE:

2 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
1 cup orzo
2.5 cups water (or broth!)
pinch of salt
1/2 cup freshly grated pecorino Romano
More pepper and cheese for topping!

Pretty straight up recipe! Toast the pepper in the butter until fragrant and then add the orzo, salt and water. Cook on low-med heat until it's soupy and the pasta is al dente - then mix in the cheese and toppings to finish. (Have a little extra water on hand while cooking, depending on exact heat setting, water can evaporate faster or slower than my version!) by @foodsofjane

Boooom. Roasted! 🍅

Roasted sungolds and squash for those of you torn between summer and fall like i am!!! (i love fall but it goes so fast and I'm dreading winter lol!!)

I didn't write up the recipe, I just threw everything onto a baking sheet, tossed it in evoo, s&p, then roasted in the oven until soft. After that, puréed in my @vitamix !! Thinned out with milk while blending and then thinned out more with pasta water once I was adding it to the farfalle. Topped with lots of parm!!! by @foodsofjane

Pasta, but make it butter for you. 🧈

I LOVE cooking pasta in bone broth because it adds more flavor and sneaks sooo many nutrients into the simple buttered noodle dishes that I like to eat on the reg. Perfect for back to school szn too, my kids are obsessed!!!

WHAT YOU NEED:

16 oz chicken bone broth
1/2 lb raditore pasta
2 tbsp salted butter
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream OR 4 oz cream cheese
Black pepper + freshly grated parm for topping

WHAT TO DO:

Bring the bone broth to a boil. Add the pasta and turn the heat to low-medium and cook until the pasta is al dente/most of the broth has evaporated. (If your stove setting cooks super fast you may need to add in a little more broth as the noodles are soaking up the original amount.) Add the butter, garlic powder and cream or cream cheese and stir until fully combined and creamy. Top with parmesan and black pepper before serving! by @foodsofjane
