Huge Thanks to Lady Araminta Gun and the Fam for visiting us @bridgertonnetflix by @fookmeiglasgow

Fook Mei 📍London Road

Had a gig in the Barras last Saturday so decided it was the perfect time to try @fookmeiglasgow

We shared three dishes gorgeous dishes:
🥠 Taiwanese pork dumplings.
🍳 Chashu fried rice with braised pork belly.
🍤 EBI katsu sando with Japanese tartar sauce.

The dumplings were beautifully crispy with lots of flavour. Being fussy, I would have liked a dipping sauce. But they do have chilli oil, soy, and sriracha, so maybe I'm just being greedy haha.

The fried rice was delicious! It had a really nice spice and the meat through it was devine. Perfectly fried egg on top too. I'd absolutely come back for this dish and really want to try their noodles as well.

The sando was lovely too. They certainly did not scrimp on sauce, which made it v messy to eat 😂 often the best things are! I did enjoy the chicken sando from their sister restaurant Ho Lee Fook more, but that's just personal preference.

Really enjoyed our visit here and will certainly be back. I urge you to try it out if you haven't already!

2 - salt & chilli oyster mushrooms. // i keep KEEP saying mushrooms are the one food I don’t like but the ho lee fook oyster mushrooms are something I DREAM about they are absolutely fittttt.
3 - neon light.
4 - house scallion pork pancake wrap w kewpie, cucumber and chilli oil. // also gorggg. I only managed to sneak a little bite of this but why is a savoury pancake sooooo good.
5 - interior. // a tiny little restaurant!! I do hate sharing a table with other people because I’m antisocial but I’ll do it any time for the food served here xxx and that’s love xxxx

🍴New Asian restaurant in the East End @fookmeiglasgow 🍜
..
@holeefookglasgow’s sister restaurant Fook Mei has arrived in the East End! Located at 239 London Road, just next to the Barras, Fook Mei is an Asian fusion restaurant which is serving a selection of delicious East Asian dishes including sandos, noodles and wings.
..
If you are familiar with their sister restaurant, you will know the owners Johnny and Lee opened Ho Lee Fook in 2023 and it has grown so much in popularity that the fans have been crying out for a sit-in venue and this venue is the ideal spot.
..
A casual space which features some familiar dishes alongside some new knockout new ones like the prawn katsu sando, the caramel fish sauce fried chicken wings and Gochujang butter chicken parmesan fries. Every dish was excellent and we can’t wait to go back and try the noodles!
..
Get this one on your list - you will not be disappointed!
..
Notes: Walk-ins only. Opening hours: Friday-Sunday 12-3pm and back open 5-8pm. For anyone wondering, Fook means Luck and Mei means taste in Cantonese.
