@bachatagenevafestival 2026 🇨🇭

Incredible weekend. Amazing lineup of artists and the workshops were on another level. My biggest takeaway wasn’t new moves, it was the Influence approach to micro-movements and connection.

Last year I watched the @bachatasocialworldcup online from my sofa. This year I was standing a few metres away watching it in person. Maybe next year I’ll be ready to enter a J&J myself.

Thanks to everyone I danced with over the weekend. I had amazing dances, and I could feel myself growing with each one.

It was great catching up with friends too. @vivianfreebird and @giuliaduidui , thanks for the dances and filming.

Posting this as a marker for future me. Documenting the journey so I can look back and see how far I’ve come. by @ford.matthew

From my first Bachata steps last February to now — what a journey.

Grateful to everyone who’s danced with me, taught me, laughed with me, and made this so much fun. The progress is great to see, but days like International Dance Day are a reminder of what really matters — enjoying the moment and the people you share it with.

Here’s to many more dances 🕺 by @ford.matthew

Thank you everyone for the birthday dance!

I started Bachata just over a year ago with @dancetogether.madeira, and I’ve really appreciated all the great dances and wonderful people I’ve met along the way, especially in those early days.

I’m looking forward to continuing to grow, develop and enjoy the journey, and I hope to share many more dances with you all. by @ford.matthew
