Yesterday we celebrated Spirit Day an annual event that calls for us to take a stand against bullying and support LGBTQ+ youth. The long weekend meant Speech and Debate and sports galore....

Fordham Prep hosted the year's first New York Catholic Forensic League tournament welcoming 277 students and 60 judges from 12 schools. We entered 17 students, 10 competing for the 1st time. Five Fordham boys advanced to final rounds. Three students earned half-quals to the State Championship in April. This strong showing lead the team to a 3rd place finish in the team sweepstakes - the first time in a decade.

Varsity Football celebrated Senior Night with a 23-13 win over St. Francis Prep. The student section, fondly known as The Herd, was in rare form with a blackout in honor of the Class of 2027.

FP Cross Country raced at the Manhattan Invitational. Henry Cheatham '27 led the Prep with a time of 13:47.5 placing 24th in the Varsity E boys race; the FP Freshmen team placed 2nd behind Luca Polizzi (2nd) and Jack Henry (5th) in the Freshman B race.

Varsity Soccer bookended the long weekend with a game Friday vs. Holy Cross, and faced Iona Prep on Monday.

This week, seniors in Biochemistry Honors put their science to the test — by making their own sports drinks!

The hands-on project explored water as life's foundational molecule, while students dove into the science of electrolytes and their role in hydration.

It's just one example of the depth of students' experience in Fordham Prep's science program, which offers 10 AP and Honors courses in the sciences alone — including AP Physics 2! by @fordhamprep

Tapas for Trips is coming!

Join us for our annual fundraiser supporting financial aid for our students who might otherwise be unable to take part in our Global Education and Service Immersion trips.

Our trips are not tourism but are designed to expose our students to the world around them, and to help them understand the impact they can have on it. Student travelers will be on hand to share how their experiences have shaped them.

See link in bio for registration

Help open the door to a trip that could change how a young man sees the world, and himself.

Today is the Feast of the Holy Rosary.

For centuries, Catholics have turned to the Rosary as a way of contemplating the life of Christ through the eyes of Mary. Walk the halls of Fordham Prep today, and you’ll find Rams who continue to pray its decades and mysteries — carrying forward a centuries-old devotion and making it their own.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. AMDG. A group of 5 students in maroon shirts are sitting in a circle on wooden chairs, heads bowed, in the Chapel beneath a large stained glass cross. by @fordhamprep

Our first Emmaus Retreat of the year is underway!

Each year, more than 90% of our juniors join this three-day journey of reflection on relationships, faith, and purpose, often a spiritual highlight of their Prep experience.

Please keep our retreatants in your prayers.

The journey doesn’t end at Fordham Prep,it starts here.

@fptrack’s Jonathan Bailey ’25 is continuing his journey at Tufts University, competing in Track & Field.

“The coaches challenged me every day, believed in me, and were always invested in my growth as both a player and a person.”

We’re proud of Jonathan and excited to see all he continues to accomplish, in the classroom and on the track.
