"I think it's professional quality" SIMPLY UNREAL This is a dish that I absolutely love, and if it weren't clear in the edit this is basically my take on McDonald's apple pie & ice cream. Getting a comment like this on the very first round was just beyond incredible (as much as my face didn't really show it!) Had a fantastic dinner at Woven celebrating @oli.daly 's birthday. Only around half an hour drive away and surprised that it hasn't been on our radar until now. Everything is beautifully designed. Amuse buche were the highlights, and their bread course was one of the best I've had alongside HIDE. Love their incorporation of Japanese elements into many of their dishes and overall they just knew their hospitality by being generous - with their ingredients (they seem to dish out caviar like salt lol), refilling your wine at no extra cost, that wide range of pastries and dips with the bread basket, and by simply giving us ALL the desserts on the menu. Yes it is not cheap but you feel like it is worth the money Of course, not everything is perfect - the mains were excellently cooked but a tad too heavy, and some of their desserts didn't quite hit the mark. But everything is just so beautiful and stylish. Highly recommend taken in Coworth Park by @forestkwok

🇮🇹 What happens when Italian food, MasterChef talent, Thermomix and multi-award-winning honey come together at Brands Hatch @brandshatchofficial? Welcome to The Italian Kitchen at Festival Italia — presented by Louisa’s Honey x Thermomix. 🍯 I had the pleasure of being behind the camera for the event, capturing the chefs, the dishes and everything happening inside the kitchen throughout the day. Hosted by @chef_john_paul_alberti, with former MasterChef quarter and semi-finalists @silverfoxcooks @thuycooks @yummy_bydesign @forestkwok, alongside Thermomix advisor and representative @emma.inthemix. And there was one ingredient running through the dishes that deserves its own story. 🍯 @louisashoney Coriander. Citrus. Lime. Acacia. Ginger. (more flavours available) But here's the important part: They are NOT infused honeys. The flavours aren't added afterwards. The bees naturally forage within controlled orchards where these different plants are grown, allowing each honey to develop its own distinctive flavour profile from the nectar collected. And watching the chefs work with them showed exactly why honey doesn't have to mean simply “sweet.” Across the kitchen, it became a glaze. A balance to acidity. A layer of floral complexity. A finishing note. Sometimes subtle. Sometimes unmistakable. One ingredient — completely different personalities depending on what surrounded it. And perhaps that's what made this collaboration between Louisa’s Honey x Thermomix so interesting to capture. It wasn't simply about putting honey into a dish. Fantastic day doing 2 cooking demos at the festival Italia at @brandshatchofficial with @louisas_honey. Weather is amazing(ly hot), and the crowd was awesome. Great sharing the stage with you guys @chef_john_paul_alberti @emma.inthemix @yummy_bydesign @silverfoxcooks @thuycooks !! And thank you for your amazing produce: @louisas_honey for your awesome honey; @amazinggracebakery for that insane panettone, @back2roots.uk for your fleur de salt, and @vanillabazaar for your vanilla paste To suit the Italian theme - adapted the honey butter toast recipe for panettone along with strawberries and a mascarpone cream - and it works! With people coming back for seconds so I count that as a success! Oh and surprise message from a past colleague who I haven't seen for 10+ years - "I’m at Brands Hatch and just saw the you’ll be doing a cooking demo!!!" - what are the odds - and great seeing you Allan and your kids! by @forestkwok
