Sri Lankan food + the bestest catch-ups with amazing peeps = my kind of evening! 🇱🇰💛 📍 ADOH!, Covent Garden 👛 ££ Nearest 🚉: Covent Garden 🥩 Selected Halal-friendly dishes available We (I) most definitely over-ordered… but quite frankly, it would've been a sin not to!!! 😂 And when the table looks THIS good, self-control is no longer an option. 🍤 Chilli Prawn Toast — Everything you're familiar with in a prawn toast and MORE. Crispy, packed with prawns, with the chilli jam and that hint of lemongrass coming through beautifully. Swipe ⬅️ for more captions breakdown on each dish 😋 📸 @googlepixeluk #TeamPixel #MadeByGoogle 🌶️ Mutton Roll — Normally 2 pieces to a plate but they were being very kind to us! 😂 The minced mutton was cooked perfectly and spiced exactly how you'd want it. Crispy outside, juicy and flavour-packed inside. 🫓 Pappadums — What a TEASER. Accompanied by their mango chutney and… I could. Not. Stop. 🦀 Crab Kothu — YESSS. This came highly recommended by @lookonthefoodside so obviously we HAD TO. And it DID NOT disappoint!!! Crab meat in every bite, mixed through chopped roti with all those familiar spices and flavours that immediately transported me back to Asia. 🐷 Black Pork Curry — WOW. Rich. Flavourful. Thick. Every mouthful was a delight, with pork so tender it was practically pulling apart on the fork. I just wished there was MORE! I also really wanted to try their Fish Red Curry but they were sold out… next time it is 👀 🍗🧇 Fried Chicken with Curry Leaf Waffle — One for the chicken & waffle lovers! A really fun Sri Lankan take on the classic. The curry leaf works so well with the waffle and fried chicken — and instead of maple syrup, you get a pot of CURRY and a pot of Sambal Olek to drench all over it. YES PLEASE. 🦐🍚 Roadside Seafood Fried Rice — I was having the internal debate of carbs or no carbs… then I read the description on the menu and that debate ended rather quickly. 😂 ZERO regrets. Every mouthful seemed to come with a big biong biong piece of squid or prawn. NOM. And of course, get some plain rice, roti or string hoppers — idiyappam aka putu mayam — on the table with your curries and you're SORTE

What a fantastic day at Festival Italia 🇮🇹 @brandshatchofficial There were so many highlights - meeting the most wonderful chefs, including @silverfoxcooks @forestkwok and @thuycooks and seeing our olive oil and balsamics in the Chef’s Kitchen, being used throughout the day in some incredible cooking demonstrations. A particular highlight was watching @emma.inthemix use our Bianco Balsamico in her delicious Sicilian caponata - such a perfect dish for beautiful olive oil and balsamic. 🍅🍆🫒 A big thank you @louisas_honey for including us and as always, we loved meeting so many of you, chatting about what we do and seeing you taste our olive oil and balsamics. A wonderful day celebrating Italian food, culture and cars - thank you Festival Italia! 🇮🇹 #festivalitalia #summerfair #extravirginoliveoil #balsamico

Thanks to my friends at @louisas_honey , I had the huge privilege to bring @thermomixukandireland to a sun drenched Festival Italia hosted by @brandshatchofficial on Sunday 9th August! Working alongside my wonderful advisor colleagues, @lifewith_thethermomix and @hciran811yahoocouk, we whipped up We served: 🍋 thirst quenching Lemonade 🥦 Broccoli and Red Pepper salad 🥕 Italian Carrot and Almond Cake 🍫 Gluten free Chocolate Brownies 🌿 Basil pesto 🫒 Olive tapenade 🧀 Feta and mascarpone dip, drizzled with sesame, chili and @louisas_honey sauce! 🍞 Portuguese waterbread, made from just 4 ingredients! Homemade food, no processed ingredients, made easily using the Thermomix ❤️ The absolute highlight of the day for me, was cooking the Sicilian Caponata as a demo on stage, alongside amazing Masterchef quarterfinalist, @forestkwok , with delightful conversation with Italian @chef_john_paul_alberti. Showcasing finest ingredients from traders in the Italian food market, I made this traditional stew in under 30 minutes by high temperature cooking vegetables with an agrodolce (sweet and sour) sauce achieved by the addition of balsamic vinegar by @santeliaoliveoil and Coriander Honey by @louisa’shoney. Seasoned with a natural Fleur de sel which is hand harvested in Greek UNESCO protected coastal zone, brought to us by @back2roots.uk ! I served this with focaccia topped with fresh homegrown peaches 🍑 from @chesterfernandes garden, rosemary, salt, and drizzled with Coriander Honey by @louisashoney. What a feast! This was an incredible opportunity to work with other talented chefs bringing their passion, personality and Italian flavours to the stage. Thank you to: @thuycooks @silverfoxcooks @yummy_bydesign - I loved meeting you all! If you would like to book a complimentary demo, with no obligation, please dm me below. Let us show you Thermomix and help you decide that it is right for you! @thermomixhorsham @inthemixwithemmafitz @yummerlicious_

HOSTESS WITH THE MOSTEST 😊🎤 @brandshatchofficial Good food. Great people. Even better conversations. The best ingredient? PASSION 🇮🇹❤️ What a fantastic day surrounded by sunshine, incredible artisan produce and people who are truly passionate about what they do. It was a pleasure hosting and chatting with the incredibly talented @forestkwok as he prepared his Italian-inspired dish. Rich, decadent and absolutely delicious, every bite showcased his creativity, skill and respect for quality ingredients. A real pleasure to watch and taste. Meeting @louisas_honey and hearing the story behind her amazing honey made the day even more special. Her honey really is exceptional and proves that when you start with outstanding produce, the flavour speaks for itself. 🍯 Days like these remind me that the best ingredient isn’t just what’s on the plate, it’s the passion behind it. Food has an incredible way of bringing people together, creating conversations, sharing stories and celebrating the people behind the produce. A huge thank you to everyone who came along, all the amazing chefs, producers and brands who made the day possible. I already can’t wait for the next one 🇮🇹❤️ @emma.inthemix @thuycooks @forestkwok @silverfoxcooks @yummy_bydesign @louisas_honey @back2roots.uk @brandshatchofficial @santeliaoliveoil @thermomixukandireland @vanillabazaar

🇮🇹 What happens when Italian food, MasterChef talent, Thermomix and multi-award-winning honey come together at Brands Hatch @brandshatchofficial? Welcome to The Italian Kitchen at Festival Italia — presented by Louisa’s Honey x Thermomix. 🍯 I had the pleasure of being behind the camera for the event, capturing the chefs, the dishes and everything happening inside the kitchen throughout the day. Hosted by @chef_john_paul_alberti, with former MasterChef quarter and semi-finalists @silverfoxcooks @thuycooks @yummy_bydesign @forestkwok, alongside Thermomix advisor and representative @emma.inthemix. And there was one ingredient running through the dishes that deserves its own story. 🍯 @louisashoney Coriander. Citrus. Lime. Acacia. Ginger. (more flavours available) But here's the important part: They are NOT infused honeys. The flavours aren't added afterwards. The bees naturally forage within controlled orchards where these different plants are grown, allowing each honey to develop its own distinctive flavour profile from the nectar collected. And watching the chefs work with them showed exactly why honey doesn't have to mean simply “sweet.” Across the kitchen, it became a glaze. A balance to acidity. A layer of floral complexity. A finishing note. Sometimes subtle. Sometimes unmistakable. One ingredient — completely different personalities depending on what surrounded it. And perhaps that's what made this collaboration between Louisa’s Honey x Thermomix so interesting to capture. It wasn't simply about putting honey into a dish. It was about discovering what else honey can do. 🍯🐝 📍 Festival Italia, Brands Hatch 🇮🇹 The Italian Kitchen 🍯 Presented by Louisa’s Honey x Thermomix Which honey would you be most curious to taste — Coriander, Citrus, Lime, Acacia or Ginger?
