Okay, this might be one of the most unexpected gelato experiences we’ve tried in Adelaide 👀🍨

We visited @ovo.adl for their five-course gelato tasting experience, and it was such a creative mix of sweet, savoury and seriously surprising flavours. Every course felt completely different, and it was so much fun seeing just how far gelato can be pushed beyond the usual classics.

Here’s what we tried:
🫒 Primo Estate Olive Oil Gelato with Prove Sourdough
🍨 Caviar on Creme Fraiche Gelato
🥐 Prove Croissant Loaf with Salted Butter Gelato & Vegemite Gelato
🍄 Porcini & Chocolate Gelato on a Salted Caramel Tart
🧀 Blue Cheese Gelato with Honeycomb

The Olive Oil Gelato with Prove Sourdough was such a standout — smooth, rich and surprisingly addictive. The Caviar on Creme Fraiche Gelato was another really interesting combination that worked far better than we expected.

The Croissant Loaf with Salted Butter and Vegemite Gelato was probably the most playful course, while the Porcini & Chocolate Gelato brought a much deeper, richer flavour. And if you love blue cheese, that final Blue Cheese Gelato with Honeycomb is definitely one to try.

Such a fun, experimental experience and one for anyone who loves trying something a little different.

They have a tasting night tonight 17th September 😍 and keep an eye on @ovo.adl for more tasting nights in the future.

Mexican flavours with serious attitude at Hispanic Mechanic 🌮🔥

We recently visited @hispanicmechanicadl on Glen Osmond Road and enjoyed such a bold, flavour-packed spread. Everything we tried was full of colour, spice and personality, with each dish bringing something different to the table.

Here’s what we enjoyed:
• Taquitos Dorados
• Belly and Beans Taco
• Lamb Taco
• Burrito Bowl Chicken
• Duck Dirty Duck
• Spicy Margs

The tacos were packed with flavour, the Burrito Bowl Chicken was fresh and satisfying, and the Duck Dirty Duck was such a fun dish to try. Everything tasted amazing and had that perfect mix of comfort, spice and freshness.

We were also seriously impressed with the Spicy Margs — they had a proper chilli kick, but still went down so well with the food.

If you’re after Mexican food with big flavour, great drinks and a fun atmosphere, Hispanic Mechanic is definitely one to check out.

Vietnamese comfort food done with so much flavour at Vietloca 🇻🇳✨

We were lucky enough to visit @vietloca and try some exclusive limited-edition dishes they were trialling over a few weekends. Such a fun experience getting to taste something a little special, and honestly, everything we tried was so fresh, comforting and full of flavour.

Here’s what we enjoyed:
• Saigon Combination Rice
• Chicken Pho
• Dry Egg Noodle Salad with Pork
• Flat Rice Noodle with Chicken
• Cold Rolls

The Saigon Combination Rice was a standout, with beautifully flavoured pork and the perfect nuoc mam sauce to bring it all together. The Chicken Pho had such a lovely sweetness to the soup base, with tender, moist chicken that made every spoonful so comforting.

We also really enjoyed the Dry Egg Noodle Salad with Pork, the Flat Rice Noodle with Chicken, and the fresh Cold Rolls to round out the meal.

The staff were so friendly and lovely, and we truly enjoyed our experience here.

Thank you for inviting us to lunch to try these amazing dishes fam, we loved our experience there 😍

For the mean time they are only open for weekdays for lunch so get in and check them out if you get a chance.

New restaurant alert in North Adelaide ✨

We recently visited @antidotekitchen.adl , a new spot bringing together Indian and Middle Eastern inspired flavours in a really unique way. The menu has a great mix of share plates, grilled meats, curries and bold flavours, making it a fun place to try something a little different.

Here’s what we enjoyed:

Entrées
• Loaded Fries — super crunchy chips loaded with mango chicken, truffle mayo, onion salsa and cheddar

Mains
• Charcoal Chicken Tikka — charcoal grilled chicken served with garden salad, garlic pita and tzatziki
• Lamb Korma — diced lamb cooked in a rich creamy korma sauce with green cardamom

Drinks
• Gin

The Loaded Fries were packed with flavour and perfect to share, while the Lamb Korma was rich, comforting and full of those beautiful warming spices. The Charcoal Chicken Tikka had such a delicious smoky flavour — the chicken was a little tough if I am to be completely honest, but the flavour definitely made up for it and we still really enjoyed the dish.

The service was incredible, and a special mention to our waiter Sunny, who was so friendly and gave us some great recommendations throughout the night.

A great new addition to North Adelaide for anyone who loves Indian and Middle Eastern flavours with a modern twist.

Mexican food, cocktails and a whole lot of flavour in the CBD 🌮🍹✨

We recently visited @elmexicanoaustralia and it’s always such a vibe. The ambience and atmosphere in there is amazing, making it the perfect spot for a fun dinner, cocktails with friends or a night out when you want something full of colour and flavour.

Here’s what we enjoyed:

Starters
• Jalapeno Poppers
• BBQ Wings
• Flauticas Chicken

Tacos
• Fish Taco
• Birria Taco
• Beef Taco
• Pork Taco

Mains
• Sizzling Fajita Chicken
• Seafood Curry Paella

Drinks
• Cocktails

The tacos were packed with flavour, the Sizzling Fajita Chicken came out hot and delicious, and the Seafood Curry Paella was such a tasty dish to share. The cocktails also went down very nicely and matched the whole fun, relaxed feel of the venue.

If you’re craving Mexican food in the city with great drinks and a lively atmosphere, El Mexicano is definitely one to check out.

A beautiful Italian feast at La Vita Ristorante 🍝✨

We recently visited @lavita.ristorante and had such a lovely dining experience from start to finish. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, the drinks were delicious, and every dish we tried was full of flavour.

Here’s what we enjoyed:
• Small Salsicce
• Arancini
• Spaghetti Marinara
• Surf & Turf Special
• Sticky Date Pudding
• Churros
• Cocktails

The Arancini were a perfect starter, the Spaghetti Marinara was fresh and packed with seafood flavour, and the Surf & Turf Special was such a standout dish. Everything tasted incredible and paired so nicely with the cocktails.

It’s always a good night when the food, drinks and service all come together so well. Definitely one to add to your list for a relaxed Italian meal with great hospitality.

Beachside dining with a view? Stella Restaurant at Henley Beach is such a vibe 🌊🍸

We recently visited @stellarestaurant_henley and loved the relaxed coastal feel. With beautiful views over the reserve near the ocean, plenty of parking nearby and a great atmosphere, it’s such a lovely spot for a casual catch-up, drinks or a long lunch by the beach.

They also have Happy Hour specials, which makes it even better if you’re keen to settle in with a cocktail or two. The cocktails were great — refreshing, well made and perfect for the Henley Beach setting.

For this visit, we started with entrées and enjoyed:
• Antipasto
• Arancini
• Polenta e Spinachi
• Cocktails
• Wine

Everything was tasty, easy to share and a great way to start the meal. The arancini were especially comforting, and the antipasto was perfect with drinks while taking in the view.

Friday night plans? Sunday session? Family dinner? @blackwoodcommunityrsl has you covered 🎶🍻

We visited Blackwood RSL and loved how inviting and comfortable the atmosphere felt from the moment we walked in. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in, enjoy a good meal, have a drink, play a game of pool and catch up with family or friends.

Every member of the public is welcome, and it’s such a great local spot whether you’re planning a casual dinner, a relaxed afternoon, or a fun night out.

They have great meals, beers on tap, wines, pool tables. Live bands on Friday nights and live music on Sunday as well, making it a really fun place to visit across the week. They serve meals Wednesday and Friday night 5:30pm - 8:30pm.

Here’s what we enjoyed:
• Chicken Schnitzel
• Fish & Salad
• Beverages

Both were hearty, tasty and exactly what you want from a good local club meal.

Great food, cold drinks, live music and a friendly community feel — Blackwood RSL is definitely worth checking out.

A beautiful evening of food, drinks and hospitality in the heart of Adelaide at the new Sun Orchid Lounge ✨

We had such a lovely experience at @amorahoteladelaide , with a night that felt elegant, relaxed and full of great atmosphere from the moment we arrived.

The space had such a polished feel, making it perfect for a special night out, a celebration, or simply enjoying good food and drinks in a beautiful setting.

A special mention to @jayeelim and @chefzakkranjcec , who helped bring the experience together so beautifully.

You can really feel the care, creativity and attention to detail throughout the venue and the whole evening.

From the service to the setting, everything felt warm, welcoming and thoughtfully done.

Definitely one to keep on your list if you’re looking for a stylish Adelaide spot to enjoy.

Father’s Day is just around the corner, and Ellenika at the Marina is such a beautiful spot to take him for a special meal by the water ✨

We recently visited @ellenika at the @marinapierglenelg_ and loved the relaxed coastal setting, Greek flavours and generous dishes. It’s the kind of place that feels perfect for a family lunch, long dinner or Father’s Day celebration with great food, cocktails and marina views.

Here’s what we enjoyed:

• Pita and Dips
• Haloumi
• Village Bread with Olive Oil
• Arni Sto Fourno — Baked Lamb Shoulder, potato and jus
• Crumbed King Prawns with feta salad and fries
• Cocktails

The Arni Sto Fourno was rich, tender and full of flavour, while the Crumbed King Prawns were crispy, fresh and paired so well with the feta salad and fries. This dish is only available on Father’s Day, so it’s definitely one to look out for.

If you’re still deciding where to take Dad, Ellenika at the Marina is a lovely option for delicious Greek food, drinks and a beautiful waterside experience.

Pizza night done right at Pizzet 🍕✨

We recently visited @pizzet.adl and enjoyed such a delicious spread of pizzas, snacks and refreshing drinks. The whole experience was made even better by the staff, who were so friendly, warm and lovely throughout the visit.

Here’s what we enjoyed:

Pizzas
• Margherita
• Pizzet
• Honey Chilli

Sides
• Arancini
• Sicilian Green Olives
• Insalata Mista

Drink
• Crodino Spritz

The pizzas tasted amazing, with beautiful bases, great flavour and that perfect balance of simple ingredients done well. The Pizzet pizza was incredible, and the Honey Chilli was another standout — sweet, spicy and so moreish.

The Arancini were also a favourite. Moist, full of flavour and so tasty, they were the perfect side to start with before the pizzas arrived.

If you’re looking for great pizza, lovely service and a relaxed spot to enjoy a good feed, Pizzet is definitely worth checking out.
