What to expect during your Formae scan appointment.

I’ll come to you and bring everything we need, so you can enjoy the experience in the comfort of your own home.

Your appointment takes about one hour. I’ll start by showing you sculpture samples, and we’ll practice different poses together to find the one that feels most natural and beautiful to you.

The actual 3D scan takes just 1–2 minutes, so there’s plenty of time to try out a few options and look through your scans together to choose your favorite.

Your chosen scan is then sent to my digital sculptor for cleanup and refinement. Once your 3D model is ready, I’ll share it with you for feedback. We can make any adjustments you’d like until you’re fully happy with the result.

From there, your sculpture goes into production at the local foundry I work with, where each piece is carefully handcrafted in your chosen material and finish.

Depending on whether you choose resin or bronze, the process takes approximately 16–24 weeks.

The bronze pour. ✨

One of the most fascinating steps in the making of a Formae sculpture.

Molten bronze is carefully poured into a ceramic mold at temperatures over 2000°F. Once cooled, the mold is broken away, revealing the bronze sculpture underneath.

A centuries-old technique that transforms a fleeting moment into something that can last for generations.

Finding the pose that feels like you.

During your appointment, we’ll explore different poses and practice them together in front of the mirror. Every body is different, and what feels beautiful and natural will look different on everyone.

I’ll guide you along the way, sharing tips on how a movement, curve or placement of your hands will translate into sculpture.

We take our time with every detail, so that by the time we scan, you feel completely comfortable and confident in your pose.

Formae. A name with a meaning that is deeply personal to me.

After spending a few years immersed in pregnancy, babies and motherhood, I felt a need to create something that was for me.

Something that gave me space to be creative again. To use my mind in a different way, to connect with other women, and to build something of my own from the ground up.

That’s where Formae began — for me. The ae carried a little piece of my past with it, inspired by FRAEMd, an art platform I founded years before.

And that meaning has become part of what I hope Formae represents for every woman I create a sculpture for. A moment to celebrate herself, her body and this chapter of her life. To choose to honor herself and the transformation she is going through — to feel, this is something I’m doing for me.

These sculptures are an ode to the strength and beauty of pregnancy, and to the female form in all its stages.

A piece of art that says: this body, this chapter, this version of me is worth remembering. A lasting piece of her story, made to be treasured now and passed down for generations.

Being able to celebrate that with the incredible women I meet through Formae has become one of the most meaningful parts of what I do. And I’m endlessly grateful for it.
