HELL GARBAGE DOES BANDCAMP FRIDAY! Popnihil’s 160th release in our final months is a momentary return from Central Florida harsh noise legend Hell Garbage. Call us sentimental, but Dylan Houser did the good work fostering our area’s noise scene AMD puncturing eardrums without fear of fanfare. Hell Garbage “rehearsal” before the big show at the Falcon Bar in Orlando this Sunday night (September 27th) along with Distorting a Woodpecker, Scrotal Tear, Tart Box, and Zachary Hickerson. Expect cut-up sounds, screeching feedback, low-end crunchy static, me screaming into a can of cat food, samples from various media, and maybe even some karaoke. Also, a new CD release from legendary Florida label PopNihil. I hope to see you there, and I hope for convenient parking for everybody ✌️🖤♫⃠ taken in The Falcon by @formaldehydra

I’ve got a busy next couple of weeks ahead of me ➡️ 9/18 - 9/19: I’ll be truckin’ up to Chattanooga with @misstaylorvalentine for WOMEN OF NOISE Fest. My second time leaving Florida since the pandemic 9/27: The very first (scheduled) Hell Garbage live performance since before the pandemic shut everything down in 2020. This will also be my first time playing at the the Falcon Bar in Orlando. Also…new CD coming out on the legendary PopNihil label 10/3: This will be only my second time ever performing in Tallahassee (the first time being a Pre-INC show back in 2015). Quite the eclectic bill here, with punk and metal bands, harsh noise projects, and myself doing who-knows-what (harsh noise? Tranced-out dance grooves? manic acoustic guitar shenanigans? All of the above?) Selfies for the algorithm and junk. I got a new hat and sunglasses at the same flea market vendor today before it got rained out. I’m not sure if Mina approves of my new fashion choices by @formaldehydra

{LINK IN BIO} I have officially joined the rankings of yet another digital social media cult-I mean platform. I am now on Substack, where I plan to showcase my visual noise, audio experiments, attempts at songwriting, and having a bunch of words either explaining things or just whatever’s going on in my head at that moment. Also reminiscing about past memories and “the good ol days,” and maybe even the future, as well as show reviews, album reviews, and whatever else. SEPTEMBER 27th @ THE FALCON BAR DISTORTING A WOODPECKER (@distortingawoodpecker)-Using multiple pedalboards filled with guitar pedals, vintage microphones, cassette tapes, noise synths, a Japanese koto, and a 10 string guitar among other things, Distorting a Woodpecker from New Hampshire combines these sound sources to create disorienting and punishing harsh noise.  *playing with SCROTAL TEAR (@remybrecht)- Power Electronics from Maine. TART BOX (@ktki_nk)- a noisy minimalist synth offshoot of KT KINK that focuses on fear concerning love and reproduction in an increasingly hostile world. *NEW TAPE RELEASE BY POPNIHIL HELL GARBAGE (@formaldehydra)- Flirtin’ with disaster since August of 2011 A.D., from the cradle to the gravy. Struck blind cuz you’re making me sick *NEW CD RELEASE BY POPNIHIL ZACHARY HICKERSON (@rhetionn)- drummer based out of Central Florida working in the genres of improvised music and noise with new groups Pulse Cut and Quixotic, as well as solo performances.
