Some things can only be said in the silence.

My hardest battles happen in my own mind. I search every broken room for answers, carrying a voice that keeps telling me I’m not enough. Sometimes I get so lost looking for everyone else that I forget I need finding too.

Then He reminds me I am loved. Even here. Even exhausted. Even when I struggle to believe it.

Redirect. Find your footing. Follow Jesus. Take the next step without needing to know the whole way.

I walked in searching. I walked out knowing I wasn’t alone.

I hunger and thirst for righteousness.
I want to speak life into others, yet inside my own head I can turn against myself.
I convince myself I am not good enough.
That I do not carry the same light.
That I do not belong.
Then I try to control every thought, every outcome, every uncertainty, and create the very war I am asking God to quiet.
But now I shift my perspective. I have searched the dark for so long that I forgot the lantern I was carrying.
The light God placed in me does not disappear because I struggle to see it.
I can look into every crack and crevice without making the darkness my home.
I can bless. I can love. I can speak life, and let those words reach me too.
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” Matthew 5:6.
Surrender control.
Seek redemption.
You have a job to do, and you do not have to command the whole world to do it. Carry the light. Leave the outcome with God.

I need Your voice to cut through the noise. I’m tuning out the voices, the distractions, and the constant pull of everything that takes more from my soul than it gives. My mind stays open to understanding, but every voice doesn’t get to lead me. When I give everything my attention, I leave nothing for Scripture, for study, for following the One who said “I AM.”

I’m cutting out the noise so I can hear Him clearly. Quiet presence. Absolute direction.

I’m learning to let a challenge search me before I let it speak through me.
To hold my tongue long enough to ask if there’s truth in what I’m hearing. To feel anger without handing it the sword. To receive correction with the same courage I ask God to give me.
I want to be good. Holy. Righteous. And that desire has to reach the parts of me that still resist being changed.
God, keep forming me. Especially where I’m hardest to reach.
Still seeking. Still being shaped.

Thomas was willing to die with Jesus before he fully understood Him.

“Let us also go, that we may die with Him.”

Then Thomas asked the question.

“How can we know the way?”

And Jesus answered:

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.”

Then the Way died.

Imagine that.

The man you followed.

The man you were willing to die beside.

The man who told you He was the way.

Dead.

So when the others told Thomas they had seen Him alive, Thomas needed to know.

“Unless I see…”

I understand Thomas more than I ever have.

He wasn’t looking for another truth. He needed to know if this one was real.

And Jesus met him there.

Not with an argument.

With Himself.

“Put your finger here… do not disbelieve, but believe.”

And suddenly there was nothing left to ask.

“My Lord and my God.”

I’m not looking for something new either.

I’m studying the literature. Asking the questions. Following the man who said “I AM.”

Thomas reminds me that questions do not have to be the end of faith.

Sometimes they are the road that brings you face to face with the answer.

And according to ancient Christian tradition, the man who once said he was willing to die with Jesus eventually did die for Him.
