Looking forward to the return of the greenery in the background of this photo! Worked on this Tascam 414 for Jason from @formthehead last summer. It didn’t have any specific problems, but I cleaned and demagnetized the tape path, checked torque and adjusted the tape speed. When I returned it I included a compatible power adapter. #recdel Person wearing a black hat and black t-shirt holding a multitrack cassette recorder. taken in Recursive Delete Audio/Visual by @formthehead

New episode of Local Universe drops today at 12pm PST. This week the mix is IDM. A genre I've never liked the name of because it is silly and elitist, but I frequently find some of my favorite music in this bin at the record store. Local Universe airs on terrestrial radio at KFFP-LP 90.3 FM, KFFD-LP 98.3 FM & KYQT 101.5 FM in the Portland metro area. Listen on the net at freeformportland.org the "no jibber-jabber" versions of the series can be found through the links on the FTH website. thank you for listening tracklist: Carly Barton - Forage - Snail Method Kazuma Matsui - carnation - funny steps NEYBUU - Artificially Intelligent Dreams - Artificially Intelligent Dreams Solenoid - Unreleased - 2020-08-27-electro01-nenelnen-qncn2 ignatius - prep_ mins_ ep - pander framing [buried in time] Hugo R.A. FTH074 - DERRICK SPOTTS (Unseen Force, Flysch, Elastic Energy Ensemble) Manning the helm at Unseen Force, Derrick Spotts stops by to talk about multiple music projects. Growing up in Western Massachusetts, Derrick performs under the monikers Flysch, Ellery Everet as well as part of projects like Elastic Energy Ensemble, Full Metal Confused, and Public Universal Friend - to name a few. We dive deep into the joys of not making art, tacos and the lives of tape loops. So happy to have had the chance to get to know Derrick a little better and help tell this story of music discovery, deconstruction and dedication. Thank you for listening.
