Today was about more than championships. 💙

Swimmers from 8 North Florida teams came together at the WeRise Summer League Championships after a summer of hard work, growth, and perseverance. Behind every race were coaches, volunteers, officials, families, and countless hours of preparation.

2nd Annual Aquathon for All will be one to remember!

All of the athletes showed up early ready to race, many new faces challenging themselves for the first time and a great community, people of all abilities, racing together for something bigger .. inclusion! It’s so important to not only welcome, but do life with people of different abilities, so at this special event we asked 3 Paralympians to share their story!

Throwback Thursday taking it back to an unforgettable day at this past spring’s Aquathon for All!

From the athletes and volunteers to the families, supporters, and incredible community that came out to cheer everyone on, it was truly a day to remember! Seeing so many people come together to celebrate inclusion, challenge themselves, and support adaptive athletes made the day so special.

And now… we’re already looking ahead! 👀🌊 We can’t wait for next year’s Aquathon! We’re excited to make it even bigger, better, and more inclusive.

Until then, we’ll be replaying these memories and remembering why we do what we do.

Children who are neurodivergent, particularly children with autism, can face a significantly higher risk of drowning, making water safety education and swimming skills especially important.

One of our main focuses during adaptive lessons is helping swimmers become comfortable and confident in the water. From learning how to safely enter the water to floating, breathing, and developing independent swimming skills. We work with each swimmer at their own pace to build skills that can help keep them safer around the water.

Summer may be over but lessons are still available! Give your child the opportunity to build confidence, independence, and essential water safety skills.

We’re still celebrating an incredible performance from our SwimRise Athlete, Nicco Torres, at the Hartford National Meet this past July!

Not only did Nicco leave the meet with an incredible NINE GOLD MEDALS but he also broke SEVEN records at Nationals!

What an amazing accomplishment and a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and determination Nicco brings to the pool every day. We couldn’t be more proud of him and everything he continues to accomplish!

One of the key skills we focus on during swim lessons is teaching swimmers how to safely float on their backs. It’s a skill that can help swimmers stay calm, conserve energy, and build confidence in the water.
Here, Coach Nevaeh is demonstrating part of the progression used to help swimmers develop this important skill.

Every swimmer learns at their own pace, and building these skills step-by-step helps create confidence and independence in the water!

We want to give a huge shoutout to Nicco Torres for an incredible performance at the Florida Special Olympics Regional Meet last weekend! Nicco medaled in all of his events and has officially qualified to advance to the Florida State Special Olympics Meet next month!

We are so proud of all the hard work, dedication, and determination Nicco continues to put into his swimming. It’s been amazing to watch his growth and see him continue to reach new milestones in the pool.

Big news for Step Up families!
SwimRise Academy is now officially available for private one‑on‑one lessons through your child’s Step Up for Students scholarship.

Log in to your EMA account → go to Providers → select Student → search “SwimRise.” Choose the number of lessons you’d like to book and reserve your funds.

Once your request is submitted, SwimRise will be notified and we’ll reach out to schedule your lessons.

We’re excited to work with your swimmer!
